Need relationship help!!!

Hello all,

I have been reading advice on this site for a while, but this is actually I have posted a question. I am a relatively new I-chinger...so some answers are not so clear to me.

Anyway, a little background...I was involved with a man last year, under not so great circumstances, whom I fell in love with. He reported the same feelings. Then he made a fast exit out of my love life, stating that he just wanted to be friends.

And he pops in and out of my life on a regular basis. We talk, but then he disappears again.

I have found out that he is currently involved with someone else, but I can't seem to forget about him. It seems to me that he still has feelings for me, too...just something I sense.

39 -6 this is someone who cannot retire and hide away from a situation -someone who has to return and use his wealth of experience.

24 -2 someone returns as a delightful companion.

my guess is that the hexigrams point to a friendship that may develop over time.The obstruction could be the difficulity in forming an established relatioship with him.

Maybe, maybe not. I have been using I Ching for about a year and a half, so I am relatively new as well. But the most important lesson I have learned (and still have the most trouble following) is not to focus on outcome. You have to trust that the advice will get you where you need to be, though that may or may not be where you think you want to be. I think the advice here is to let this relationship develope gradually, let it go where its supposed to go. In the meantime, be yourself and live your life. Enjoy whatever comes your way. 24 is often about returning to yourself, not the return of someone else. But lets face it, most people like relationships that are easy and fun without a lot of drama, so following the advice might get you there.

And I know how hard it is. I have also been in love with the same man for over a year. Chances for us to be together pop up every now and then, but never seem to pan out. I have tried pursueing other things and other relationships, but just the sight of him still makes my heart stop. Even so, I refuse to sit around and wait for him to come around. If its meant to be, it will happen. In the meantime, have some fun, pursue other interests. You never know what life will bring you when you least expect it
