Hi all,
A guy I once dated a few years back is going to call me tonight, I have mentioned him before.. - "what are R's intentions?", a few weeks back on here.
I haven't heard from him since that last post, anyways tonight he msgs me and asks if he can call me.. so I agreed and now he's going to call me at 9.
I am not quite sure about him because I did msg him and got no response last week.

Should I be careful with R?

so he ended up not calling.
I asked, why didn't he call?
:S
35.4.6>2

I think maybe he wanted to but was scared and over-thought it too much and then decided not to .

Duration to The Well

Thunder and wind bring water over wood. There is a storm, but it ends with rain, which fertilizes the crops. I think 32 is telling you:

Perseverance furthers.
It furthers one to have somewhere to go.
...
Thus the superior man stands firm
And does not change his direction.

You should proceed with R, against any difficulties. And one of two things may happen. You'll be encouraged and welcomed by R, and be helped due to this. Or the reverse will happen, and you'll be the one who has to encourage R. This all depends on whether you play the nourishing water role or the developing wood role.

But this is a result of, for now, paying heed to the first hexagram and going ahead and Enduring.

edit: first interpretation still stands. If you want something to happen, you may need to Endure and play the Water role. for your second reading I'll see R as the subject since you're asking : why didn't he call?

The sun rises over the earth but then the earth moves on.

First he is excited, and preparing for Progress but then something happens and he removes himself from the situation. Maybe something came up, or maybe he felt that too much time had passed and became nervous. Anyway, it might be up to you to call, since The Receptive seems to play a decisive role on his end.

Yes "HE" is R.
He is a very fickle man (he's a Gemini!) which why I ask these questions (I am a Taurus) and the reason for my caution

Oh and I don't have his number, I was talking to him through a social networking site.
Maybe I should msg him on there and ask him if something came up?

I think it is worth a try, and I would say that 35.4 is an indication that he intended to, but lacked the courage to be able to follow through. Sometimes relationships in which we have to do a lot of work are a waste of time, but other times they really do bear fruit. I would agree with mryou1 that the hexagrams indicating reception and endurance makes it seem like the latter, and not the former here.

Alright, well I didn't ask him if anything came up.
Just told him I was going to bed, leaving it up to him to say whatever he wanted to say about why he didn't call. He replied right away saying he lost the paper with my number on it lol.
I kind of guessed that maybe he was being mousy by the line in 4 tehe..
So hopefully I hear from him today
And I admit, I was quite nervous before I was expecting his call, it's been awhile!

Gosh, at this point he is a tad rude.

22.1.3.3 >4
I think he is acting on his own youthful folly. (H4) Certainly sounds it.
line 1: Leaves carriage and goes on foot. In this context, not sure if that would mean he decides to forgo some pleasure, or what? hmmmm
line 2: Adorning the beard. Emotional I Ching views this as adopting a facade. Perhaps he wants you to think he is stand-offish? Not easily pinned down? Still, he should call if he says he will.
line 3: EIC again has it that the facade is being constantly maintained. :brickwall:

like he's inexperienced with this, doesn't really know what to do?
Or acting immaturely?
In combination of the lines in 22 I would say he is playing a bit of a game, perhaps?
Maybe the leaving the carriage could mean he's going to keep me "hanging"
Put on a bit of a show of waiting -2,3
That is rude

he;s being showy and immature 22 and 4

seems you have to lead or be lead but
you must choose and keep that role

there is water and developing wood - I
would say taurus is developing wood more
earthy than water

OH that... guy! lol

I really don't like Gems because of this aspect, I like straightforwardness.

And by developing wood, do you mean I should just take the lead?

I think I should lol,

I have asked the yi

How should I proceed in leading R?
53.2>57

I would like things to definitely develop slowly because obviously I am a bit interested, but I did just get out of a longterm thing.

I think that reflects my taking my time very well dont ya think? :)

Yes, it does....53.2 is about joyfully eating .....maybe you and he might have a good meal together, and then leave him hang for a bit........

yes 53.2 feels like you should go at your pace as
taurus does - geminis are flighty and thats annoying

taurus likes to eat - grazing like cow in the field -
fortunately taurus has staying power

57 is getting the desired result through just melodiously
going your sweet way - gradual progress
