Phone interview cancelled? ghosted? again! 33 unchanging

Here on the East Coast of the US it's just a bit past 11am EST. I had a rescheduled phone interview for what appeared to me originally as a great remote (at-home) part-time job that fit well with me at least on paper. I applied and received an email to set-up a phone interview and then that day came and an email came saying "something came up let's reschedule." No biggie right? So it was rescheduled for today...at this point 17 minutes ago...and nothing...no phone call no email.

Now, it's been a while since I have interviewed and never by phone so when 11 came and went I even went so far as to text a friend and ask "am I supposed to call them?" knowing full well that at least in my book that's not how it works.

So, I fired up my computer and came to online clarity an did a quick reading..."what about my interview with SRE?" and received 33 Unchanging...as in "GET AWAY!"

You know how you get guy feelings? My answer from Yi really amplified this gut feeling of that this place was somewhere to stay away from.

I've read the Wiki concerning Hex 33 and loved the sharing about the unwanted houseguest!

Am I on the right wavelength feeling as if I have dodged a bullet here?

Certainly seems rude for them to reschedule and then not be there or notify you of their change in plans, and indeed I agree this sort of irresponsible behavior does not bode well for a good relationship. However I would not interpret 33 as saying you "dodged a bullet." The most I think you can reasonably attribute to Retreat is that it says the employer (the superior) kept you the applicant (the inferior) at a distance "not angrily but with reserve." In other words the IC is only saying they had no malice intent, they simply didn't call you.
But I Ching aside, it does sound like these would not have been nice people to work for!

Maybe if you were planning to quit your current job for this or otherwise uproot something for it, but if not maybe there was no bullet per se.

Are you looking to leave your current job when you just got 48.5 about their education benefit?
