pregnancy scare hex 53.3.5 to 23

I'm a bit nervous and since it's still too soon for a test I asked in regards to being pregnant, I Ching answered 53.3.5 to 23.

Line 3 says the wife is pregnant but does not give birth(confusing because how can one be pregnant but not give birth?) and line 5 says the wife does not get pregnant for 3 years. Resulting hexagram is 23 or splitting off. I am interpreting this as NO I am not pregnant. Am I right??

Since you're nervous, I assume you wouldn't like being pregnant. In the event you were, would you keep the baby or would you think about curettage (abortion)? Sorry for being as straightforward as this, but this is what your reading really seems to point at.

In hexagram 53, increase is desired and sought, but line 3 is the line of danger and loss. As I understand it, "the woman carries a child but does not bring it forth" means that there is no live birth.

Hey, just thought it would be nice to update on this issue so we can all better understand the I Ching. It turned out I was NOT pregnant. Strange because I had a dream I gave birth but I guess it was symbolic rather than literal how I took it in my situation. So yea, I guess the I Ching is right again...
