It would be great to hear anyone's comments on this kind of association -- with a tree, the landscape or with Nature in general -- as relates to the casting. Is this natural Yin force, the general idea of creation [creation by anyone], more the point of "yin" than a woman in her multiple roles is?

Also, if I may say, the webinar Hilary has just done with Margaret Pearson sheds great light on the idea of "Yin" as something not necessarily "feminine" at the origins of the Yi. Since purchasing that webcast I've been rethinking wck6265's comments in this thread on emphasising and balancing with Yin. I wonder if maybe we don't have modern terms for Yin and Yang, much like we don't have an exact concept or word for the forces that generate health in accupuncture. We want to say it's the nervous system or something we can dissect -- but it's more illusive than that. Has anybody else who heard the webinar connected especially with the expanded idea of Yin that Margaret Pearson offers? An aside: She's changed my thinking on Hex 44 forever as well.
