Question on resulting hex in 3.1.3.6>53

I am puzzled by the second hex in this reading. I asked what to do about a situation in the next few days, and cast 3.1.3.6>53.

Clearly, the advice is not to,pursue the matter for the next few days at least. 3.3 says to drop it, and 3.6 says if I pursue it, there will be tears of blood. Leave it well alone.
But how can such an ominous reading move into or even evolve from 53, gradual progress?

The only way I can make sense of it is that Im asking about the next few days. Maybe in the big scheme of things, things are progressing very, very gradually, despite appearances? 53 is S-L-O-W...

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have this idea where lines 1 and 6 change that the second hexagram kind of 'busts through' the primary, as if it pushed into it and burst it's banks (it's borders lines 1 and 6 ) At least that's what i've noticed in my own experience.

It is like you are trying to begin something but your plans are pretty irrelevant in the light of the overarching progress of hex 53. Progress is being made and i'm not sure you really need to fiddle around with details or plans. I think the picture is bigger than you can see. I also feel that whatever you are planning doesn't really have much impact on the progress of the 53 here. 3.1.3.6 looks like a flurry of activity that doesn't really know where it's going and doesn't impinge on anything very much.

I'm trying to think of an example,,,,it almost looks like having the wrong end of the stick as to what this about. Like for example a woman who has no idea she is pregant worrying she is getting fat and dieting....well dieting won't even touch the overall progression of what is happening to her will it. Things are proceeding at their own pace whilst she tries a number of actions to deal with it they won't work....cos shes pregnant not fat.

Admittedly that is a peculiar imaginary example I gave you.....but you get the drift ...hopefully.

I don't think I would take your answer as ominous...3.6 can just be an aborted attempt and 3.3 of course acting on mistaken guidelines....and 3.1 needed better information.....but all that mistakeness doesn't really matter to 53 here which is carrying on regardless

Thanks Trojan. I hadnt thought about the angle that whatever I do at this time has little impact on the underlying progress. Interesting. Actually, it makes a lot of sense. A bit of an aha moment: its like the Yi telling me the overall outcome is simply not in my control. Bigger forces at work here, get guidance- maybe it will help me see more clearly. But don't interfere. Very useful, thank you!

With 53 you have to let procedures take their course...often 53 can involve issues of ceremony, beaurocracy, things taking the right time hence the image of courtship leading to marriage.

My view was quite impressionistic and there's probably more to see in the reading so keep on looking

In this case, its about a medical condition needing time to heal... my understanding is that the healing process is underway, guidance has been sought (as per 3) and there is not much more that can be done in the next few days at least. So your impressionistic view makes total sense!
