Dear community,

I would like to ask for some feedback regarding a reading which I have cast recently regarding a medical examination. A couple of weeks ago, I have been travelling to the UK to do a medical test (a colonoscopy), which I then didn't manage to do (the preparation for the test was not successful); I now have to make a decision whether to stay here longer until they offer me a new date, or whether to postpone the exam altogether a few months from now (if timings work - as I am planning to be back in the UK for July). I basically wanted to get a sense as to whether there is some sense of urgency around taking this test, or whether it can wait until a later date.
I have obtained hexagram 46 (Shêng/Pushing Upward), and upon reading the text, I'm getting a sense that this reading is quite subtle, and as I re-read it over time (I cast it a few days ago), I can tell that there may be several elements that relate to the situation but it is hard to pinpoint precisely what they may be referring to. In more detail: I have two changing lines (six in the fourth and sixth place) but I am not perceiving a clear advice coming from them. What may "pushing upward" mean, within this context? And also, the two changing lines seem to be at odds with each other, at least in my perception. Then there is hexagram 50 (Ting/The Caldron), which seems to be referring to a successful outcome - but does not seem to respond to either my query whether this test is 'urgent' (my sense is that it isn't) and the related matter on whether it could be postponed.
These are just some of my thoughts, and I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to best interpret this reading.

Many thanks in advance.

I can't help but note how pushing upwards is kind of what a colonoscopy is doing :mischief: it jumped out at me. It could look a picture of such a procedure especially line 6 as in being the end of the probe searching in the dark as it were.

Whether it is urgent or not to have this colonoscopy really is something your Dr/medical team should indicate to you. Generally speaking in the UK whenever there is even a hint of something potentially cancerous they do the tests within a few weeks, prioritize it and one knows that is why they are doing it, just to rule out more serious issues. They must have indicated to you whether they deem it urgent or not or you could ask them. I really think in something like this you need to go to them rather than ask Yi or us.

I don't know whether it is urgent or not, as I say in your shoes I'd ask the Dr. I can't tell from the reading and I would hesitate to tell someone whether it was or wasn't urgent because the consequences of such advice could literally be a difference between life and death.

but does not seem to respond to either my query whether this test is 'urgent' (my sense is that it isn't) and the related matter on whether it could be postponed.
I couldn't take anything from the reading commenting on urgency. I'm presuming the Dr has given you some idea as to why they asked for the test and from that you'd have an idea if this were routine for minor symptoms or more urgent for more pressing symptoms.
