Relationship Inquiry 33 -> 50

Hello,

I inquired the I-Ching concerning my friendships, as lately I have been feeling a bit pushed away and betrayed. I specifically asked if what I am feeling and expericing is correct, and I got hexagram 33.2.5 changing to Hexagram 50.

33 talks about introspection, so it seems that my feelings are true? But the changing to 50, that seems more positive, so I am not sure how to interpret it.

It’s possible you’re being advised to just pull back and reset. Things might look different from a new perspective. Or perhaps that’s what the other person is doing. Trying to pull back and have some kind of fresh start. The “true” part I’m not sure because clearly the casting validates the “pulling back”. But if it validates something negative associated with that I’m not sure. Might simply be more or a simple reality or a pattern to observe.

Hi @skillet777 , yes your assessment of the situation is correct. That person is retreating from you. Initially there's a strong hold between you (33.2). This might be financial in nature. There may be a financial interest which still holds you together. For that reason, that person doesn't want to create any big arguments, so they are retreating in a mild manner (33.5). They want to keep you sweet. 50 as resulting hexagram most probably shows that that person wants to make a new beginning with someone else. So if you're feeling that that person is pulling away from you due to someone else, I'm afraid you're correct.
