Relationship Question

Hi there,

I'm trying to understand the answers I got when I threw the I-Ching in regards to a relationship I have with another person. Basically there's been a riff in it and my questions were framed in two month time periods, basically

"How will our relationship be over the course of the next two months?"
to which I got 56.2.3.4 4

then
"How will our relationship be over the two months following that?
to which I got 34.1.2.3 16

I have my own feelings and thoughts about what the answers mean but I would be interested in having some of you with more experience comment on what you think they mean.

Hi Joey

Here is a sugestion of an answer - You need to find the parts of the answer / hexagrams which resonate for you though - I can't do that.

56.2.3.4 >4
Wandering alone, a quest which if handled correctly bodes well.

Second line: Indicates A resting place (comfortable zone in the relationship?) and you draw someone (your love?) to you. Let this situation develop slowly.

Then perhaps after:

Third line: There is a potential for you frighten your friend away through your own passions / or perhaps strong emotional expression (even anger?).

Perhaps following this.

Fourth Line: You think you achieve something you want (the relationship?) or the status you want - but you find it empty and move on from it.

Hx.4: There is a choice of meanings here

Hx.4 Could mean - These are early days for this relationship... there is advice in that Hx. for how to manage beginnings.

Or it could mean: That there is folly in your approach here or lack of perception here on your part...

Could it be that you asked a question which assumed you had no part in the situation?

In these situations I find that asking questions like:

What is the potential in this relationship?

And how might I approach this to achieve that potential?

Are sometimes useful approaches.

Another thought about that Hx.4

It could mean that the development as outlined in 56 might lead you to make a "Youthful Folly"

It is a simple warning in this case... Remember you can choose how you move through the time and that changes the way the time develops.

I think were this a reading for myself I would take this as so.
