I am at the initial stages of a tech startup and a long road is yet ahead. So I asked the I Ching about it.


Result: Hexagram 4 -> Hexagram 53.

Changing Lines: 2, 3, 5.


Personal interpretation: There is inexperience on my side, but things will go on well.

Hello gamer

I think the real key here is that it is important for you to find those who can give you good advice. Find a mentor or a tutor, shall we say. Interestingly enough, line two says, "The son is able to take care of the household." In other words, the inexperienced person is able to gain experience and accomplish the tasks necessary. The second line is in correspondence with the fifth line which in a way would correspond with "the mother" or "the teacher" who teaches the son. The fifth line also speaks of one who is willing to take good advice in a spirit of harmony and profit thereby. I don't know who your counsellor might be but there apparently is one available to you. At the same time, the third line advises against any tendency to just slavishly imitate anyone, or another interpretation might be to be careful who you employ if anyone, in the business. It might also advise to be careful about getting the RIGHT mentor for your business.

Hexagram fifty three would indicate to me that the business has potential, but it won't be an overnight explosion. You must use good sound business principles, employ the right people, either as company employees or as advisors, and you must work the business until it becomes successful.
