The outcome of the operation? (48)

Good day everyone! I have been successfully using the book for many years. And it never let me down. Moreover, when I remember my past readings, I understand that the book clearly knows more than I do. I'm having a major operation in October. I asked the book today “will my diseased organ remain in place”? Than received the answer: 48... No, book said me "no"? What do you think?

H48 is the hexagram of the unchangeable, of matters of such principle importance that they cannot change. It is also the hexagram of replenishing and renewal.
You do not provide any background information, unfortunately, which makes it difficult to interpret H48 for your situation.
Based on the above H48 does get linked to the kidneys, the whole fluid balance that is kept in balance and purified by the kidneys. Does your question perhaps have something to do with the kidneys?
Another meaning of H48 could be that removing the diseased organ does not solve the problem. H48 could indicate that the cause of the problems lies deeper. This may be on a physical level, but there may also be an emotional/mental component involved.
H48 is Water over Wind/Wood
Among other things, trigram Wind/Wood deals with emotions that cannot be or are difficult to express and trigram Water deals with the deeper layers of the psyche, the unconscious.
In the ancient Chinese/Taoist thinking, a physical problem exists on 3 levels: the spiritual, the mental and the physical. From this way of thinking, medical symptoms are treated on all 3 levels.
Only removing a diseased part leaves the real problem untreated, which is the imbalance at the spiritual and mental level.
So H48 could also refer to that.
The text of the Image of H48 says:

If the rope does not go all the way,
Or the jug breaks,
Misfortune

In other words if you cannot reach deep enough, go to the source of the problem then nothing will really be resolved.

Good day, Dear Hans_K. Thank you for your detailed and clear answer! I am very grateful to you now. Since I have been suffering since August, waiting for the operation.
This is a question of my...ovaries. I really want children. But as it turned out, I am not healthy and I need surgery, which in turn requires excellent surgeon skills.
I found a surgeon, he said that he could remove everything that was needed and leave the ovaries. This is how the operation was planned.
My husband (I wrote about him here in 2019, then he was only my acquaintance) ignores me, he doesn’t want children, he doesn’t see how I suffer. So you are right, my problem lies on all layers, psychological and material.

I use my book for several years and I m still not an expert but like you said it never let me down too.

In the book I use I found 48 being described as “replenishment” and I found the below part of the answer which I think resonates with your question.

It says that the old system (body) is not functioning well, the old bucket is broken (ill)?
If the old system remains in place there will be misfortune. I suppose it says if the body stays as it is, your body it could bring more illnesses?

The new system (the body after operation or after some changes) function better and there is supreme fortune in the end. Perhaps the organ needs removed ir something needs to be changed so you can “function” better.

The thing that needs to be change could be:
- to remove something during the operation
- to change something at emotional level
- to change something at spiritual level
You know better what the oracle refers to.

This is my interpretation to 48 to your question. But health is always a delicate matter and I advise to follow what doctors suggest. They know better than my interpretation of 48.
