I yearn to not think negatively but I also don't want to deceive myself by believing in anyone's illusion.
" please tell me what is important to know regarding the potential business partnership of X and I ?"
44.2.3.4.5 >23.
I second Mirian's interpretation on this.
H.44 is about an encounter that can certainly be tempting and seductive but ultimately best avoided by letting things come to fruition without all the fuss. Otherwise, you might have a world of emotional chaos on your hands. That's the important message the Yi might be offering you here.
I think there's a big difference in being negative about something for no reason and actually being able to evaluate a situation objectively without wishful thinking, or exactly as you say - not being deceived by someone else or more importantly - yourself. That's not negative - that's a welcome survival technique. Admittedly, this propensity can be experienced as negativity or cynicism in other aspects of our life which is where you probably "yearn" to be free of it. This is perhaps a personality trait which can be balanced with due attention. But this perspicacity about emotional danger can help us avoid a lot of chaos.
I think the Yi is just affirming what you intuit already. He may have a good heart but that isn't necessarily enough if hasn't got his **** together. This will influence the whole ball game I'm afraid - business to bed-time. But this is the reading now, who knows what the future will be?
Similarly, it's not necessarily wrong to engage with 44's lessons but just be aware of what you are inviting into your life - the man/woman archetype of dark power is marvellous for stripping away our illusions and those behavioural patterns about which we are unaware.
But I think you're pretty aware of what all this entails.
Good luck!
I think Yi warns about the shady aspect of this business.
Fishes in a wallet not good for guests (public, buyers sellers?)
Wallet with fish and then empty (you can lose money).
No skin on his thighs - again about losing money?
And then advice to hide yourself or there is something that you don't know.
This temptation(44) will lead to destruction/loss(23).
Steer clear from it.
Sorry, I think you know already that the whole situation is unreliable either for romance, sex, or business. It is what 44.2.3.4.5 >> 23 is saying, you are not being judgemental. I think this reading is a non-starter for any new venture, unless you are a gambler and want to step in and see what it is like
I"m looking at the yang change pattern of 28, and the yin change pattern of 27. The 28 suggests a situation that is overburdened and stressed-out. The 27 suggests that there can be a way of satisfying your need for an income that is more moderate and well-balanced.
I am not one of those who think hexagram 44 is a bad or unfortunate hexagram. Under ordinary circumstances it often just means "going to meet," and has to do with encounters between two people. A strong woman is mentioned and she is sometimes said to be a queen or other important person. I do see, however, how some of the moving lines are unfortunate. But that is true of most of the hexagrams, is it not? What is probably true of hexagram 44 is that someone will move us or influence us, but whether that is always humiliating or unfortunate is something I certainly wouldn't say.
