I will end this search for a chronology in the evolution of the sixty four hexagrams for now, as I can't make my sense of logic fit with a reasonable order of the hexagrams in this system of categories ie from the lowest to the highest value for hexagram 2 with it's value Twelve, Category I, to hexagram 1 with it's value 18, Category VII, all the other hexagrams representing Category II to VI between.
My hope is that someone will be able to find this little "dead-end-journey" or part of it inspiring to 'reflect on this matter further'......

I'm thinking about setting the order of the Mawangdui edition (1) and the order of the Circular arrangement given by Shao Yong (2) into this categorized system as well hoping for a clearer overwiev.

Done (#34) page 48 to 50 HERE. When crosschecking I - again - found small failures in the pdf that I'd corrected; with a bit of shame I must commit: as I shouldn't had published any of it before making sure it was without failures. (and having a bad suspection that more follows...)

"Supreme principles governing the World" (Huang-chi ching-shih shu) is translated in 31 chapters in Wing-Tsit Chan's translation of "A source book in Chinese philosophy", ch. 29, Princeton University Press, cop. 1963, USA.
