Truth and confidence and all that- 42.5 to 27

I've had my ups and downs with a good friend (who used to be something more), and recently (with Yi's guidance) I feel like I've gotten back to a place of more openness and free communication with her. But there are things regarding our past together that I would like to discuss with her, and sometimes they are practically clawing at me to get out on the table. I feel blessed to be back in a closer friendliness with her and I don't want to jeopardize that by going beyond what the time calls for, but at the same time I feel that I need to say something about what I've been thinking about or it will consume me. I asked the Yi: "What if I were to contact L tomorrow to discuss what I've been feeling?"
I got 42.5, deceptive ol' Increase, changing to 27, Nourishment. Increasing my Nourishment? Or Nourishing my Increase? Line 5 is all about Truth, Confidence, and being the noble one and all of that; I'm trying to determine what signal this is. "Being true and kind is its own reward"- does this mean that I shouldn't raise the issue? If truth and confidence are "my own strength", I suppose I've progressed this far based on such truth and confidence. Or perhaps the Yi is just saying that however I go about it, I should be truthful and confident?

Doesn't the line say from Wilhelm

"If in truth you have a kind heart, ask not.
Supreme good fortune.
Truly kindness will be recognised as your virtue."

I think this is a reassurance that you need not have any fear of raising issues with her as she understands you are coming from a good place. She is already hearing you, she isn't going to misjudge you. You don't need to worry about anything, you can talk fully and freely with her. Generosity is the spirit of this line, no need to hold anything back, give it all you have. I don't think you can actually jeopardise anything at this stage. I think your answer assures you you can't jeopardise anything now. So much so you don't even need to ask the Oracle about it.

Yes, I see what you're saying with that interpretation. I didn't even think of the "ask not", as referring to my asking the Yi, but now that I reexamine it it fits into the pattern of 42- the increasing which comes to its peak in line 5 and then breaks like a wave at line 6. I just can't help nailbiting sometimes, and wondering whether I'm doing something for my own gain or out of true feeling of sharing. I suppose the answer to that lies in myself, the Yi knows me to know myself. Thanks for pointing that out.
