I am planning to pursue an MA in Japanese studies at SUNY Binghamton. Turns out the college is a public Ivy where I can get a prestigious education without the hefty price tag. I asked the department head and he said that even if the cumulative GPA isn't good, my minor GPA will make it up and there no recommended GRE score.

What are my chances of getting accepted to SUNY Binghamton? 29.1.2 Repeating Chasms (The Abysmal or Water) to 3 Sprouting (Difficulty at the Beginning). This reading doesn't seem to be positive.
Hex 29: Repeating chasms. There is truth and confidence. Holding your heart fast creates success. Movement brings honour.
Line 1: Repeated chasms. Entering into the pit within the chasm – pitfall.
Line 2: The chasm has sheer sides. Seek small gains.
Hex 3: Sprouting. From the source, creating success, constancy bears fruit. Don't use this to have a direction to go, Fruitful to establish feudal lords.
Is it saying that it not going to work (line 1) and that it's that odds are favoring me (line 2) where my application has some difficulties (hex 3)?

What my time at SUNY Binghamton be like? 59.2.6 Dispersing (Dissolution) to 8 Seeking Union (Holding Together).
Hex 59: Dispersing, creating success. The king assumes his temple. Fruitful to cross the great river, Constancy bears fruit.
Line 2: Dispersing, flee to your support. Regrets vanish.
Line 6: Dispersing blood. Leave, go out and far away. Not a mistake.
Hex 8: Seeking union, good fortune. At the origin of oracle consultation, From the source, ever-flowing constancy. No mistake. Not at rest, coming on all sides. For the latecomer, pitfall.
Is it saying that I will be with an advisor (line 2) and that he/she will help me with anything (line 6), where my experience will be with new friends (hex 8)?
