Was Feeling Really Frustrated, and So Got Hexagram 20, No Changing Lines

I've been updating you all on my quest to find the next relationship. I thought I may have found it in November when I began dating a guy (along with tons of talking on the phone and texting), but just days after we mutually agreed to go "exclusive," he said some things that showed he wasn't ready to be involved (doesn't know what he really wants in life and is afraid to go after it anyway and does things just to please people even though it makes him miserable and isn't really comfortable with his sexuality, other than that, a really great catch ha ha), so I broke it off with him.

Well last Friday, I was at a Christmas Party for gay men, and I saw all these couples together, and it really began to gnaw on me to the point I was so frustrated that I asked the I Ching why is it taking so long for me, a sincere and evolving soul, to find someone special when everyone has seemingly found someone.

But here's the thing: As I began throwing the second time the three coins, this wave of peace came over me, and subsequently, I got Hexagram 20, with no changing lines. It seems to tell me just to watch and observe, it's not time to move yet.

Sometimes it can be so frustrating with the I Ching as oftentimes it's always telling me, "Not now, some other day."

The social rules for such an occasion is that everyone behaves in a light-hearted and joyful manner. You almost saying in your query 'what have I done wrong, I am sincere, why am I being singled out to be deprived of what they have?'. Your answer given directly beyond Yi to you is peace. Everything is okay, things aren't wrong, you aren't wrong, your life isn't wrong and it's not wrong you haven't found someone yet.

20 asks you to stop, pause and look again. Let go of the impulse to proceed in any direction just observe as there's things to see, things to come into view. Moreover you are accompanied, the oracle says truth and confidence are with you 'like a presence'. That presence was there when you felt peace wash over you. What are you being asked to re examine or see? I don't know but for now it's not time to try to make things happen it's time to look and reflect and allow things to come into view.

I wonder if “washing your hands” is about what you are doing while you wait. Your feelings are totally valid (and you can’t do anything about them anyway!) but in a way the sense of scarcity might not be helping. What would be purifying, to your life, intentions, spirit while you are in this waiting pattern? What can you be really present with while you prepare? I think if you do that, some good inspiration or awareness will arise within you. Like the wave of peace you felt.
