What are the effects of pushing aside this career option? 23.2 > 4

Hi All,

I'm kind of thinking of two different career areas, one of which I feel pushed away from whether that's because it's not right for me or perhaps it involves inner turmoil in me.

I asked the I Ching What are the effects of ditching this career option and it says hex 23.2 > 4.

I found it to be an interesting result, albeit I cannot exactly understand what it is saying to me about the question. I know when I see splitting apart, I'd somewhat like it to mean that splitting apart from the career option is a good thing, but I know that's what makes me feel more at ease and maybe for some good reason that I'm uncertain of at this time.

Interesting thought. I'm not sure what I'd have to give up to embrace this, but I feel it's more of a passion of mine and can incorporate the other one in a sense too. I decided to ask a further question to it, "What would I lose in following my passion?" and received 36.4 > 55... I was looking at other threads on this reading, and wondered if it would mean that I would have less privacy or that my life would be more out in the open if following this passion. Would that be a correct interpretation of 36.4? its certainly a possibility of an outcome and loss of privacy would be a direct answer to the question.

Should I interpret my lack of ability to volunteer at doing therapy as a sign that it is not what I am supposed to do for a career?

THe answer struck me as interesting, as I've rarely ever received this hexagram before: 1.1.4 > 57. What are others views on it? Is it auspicious? Is it a sign to caution me in some way?

Is this Reiki? Don't you need to practice? The inaction of line 1 and the hesitancy of line 4 suggest your present condition. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. I think you should aim to move to being a concrete influence like Wind.

I should specify that I have been volunteering, but things keep falling in the way of my ability to be there every week since 2014 started. I wondered if this fact that things keep getting in my way meant that it was giving me a message. Inaction exists, and I've been hesitant for this as a career and drawn to other things. Maybe other paths will give me better chance of being like Wind?
