What becomes of my package? 62.3.5 - 45

Here's a question we'll know the answer to by nightfall…
I ordered a box of groceries from a food service that sends you the ingredients for 3 dinners once a week. It's like a kit with all the food and the recipes. It looked like it might be kinda fun and they gave a great discount for ordering the first box.

Anyway, I thought I'd try it and the box is supposed to arrive today but when I checked my order on line I realized that - yikes! - I had listed the numbers on my address wrong (I said I lived at 6171 instead of 7161).

I live off in the hills where all the addresses are kinda numbered funny - I don't know if there even is a 1671. Also, while I have ordered things in the past under my name and they have arrived here okay, I don't know as the driver for this delivery would recognize my name and realize there was a mistake and know to deliver the box to 7161. So I asked the I Ching what will become of my package? Particularly I'm wanting to know if it will arrive here eventually!

62.3.5 Attention to detail.
Well, yeah, that's the whole problem, I didn't pay attention to the details. No idea what to make of 62.3. 62.5 sounds hopeful. I wonder if I could contact the delivery service - UPS? - not sure how to do that..

45. Fellowship with Men.
Well, I guess someone will enjoy a nice couple of meals..

From the hexagrams, I think you will get it.

flying bird (shen) = package.
45 = temple = proper place for the shen to go.

Couldn't you call the delivery people about this mistake?

The flying bird found it's way to the temple! Ta-dah!

Thank you for your encouragement, Tom, and for pointing out that 45. refers to the king approaching his temple. I had never zeroed in on that image before and only thought of this hexagram as having to do with people gathering together. The judgement for the hexagram mentions "success" twice so that too could made it a good omen. I guess I'm old and jaded now to the point where when the I Ching says "success" I don't relax - I become suspicious! But alls well that ends well -
Here's how it worked out. After you suggested I try getting in touch with the delivery people I called Ups but they needed a tracking number which I didn't have. My husband and I then left the house as we had business in town. On the way down the hill we encountered the Ups truck! Oh joy, I thought, I'll be able to get the box right now. But no - the fellow didn't have the box. so now we're really confused - where is it? Several hours later we come back home just as the phone rings. It's the Ups driver saying that when he returned to the terminal our package was there and he was calling in hopes we were in town as it is a long way out to our house. We had to tell him that no, we were off in the woods but THEN we got to tell him the correct address and so… about a half hour later the box arrived. Yea!
Now, how does this fit in with the hexagrams and lines? Well, 45. the relating hexagram mentions the superior man renews his weapons in order to meet the unforeseen. Certainly one of my concerns was that if the box were left at the wrong house I might never get it. But as Tom pointed out, the hexagram could also mean that ultimately the box found it's way to the temple - my house. With hexagram 62. Attention to Detail we had the whole problem clearly spelled out. 62.3 Perfectly described what caused the mix-up - "If one is not extremely careful, Somebody may come up from behind and strike him. Misfortune." I had not been careful when I filled out the order form. 62.5 I don't understand but maybe someone would feel to tackle it and see how it can be interpreted to fit this instance :

Dense clouds,
No rain from our western territory.

Perhaps this could be referring to the fact that when the Ups truck first came it didn't have my package.

Now this sounds like it is some how explaining what happened with the driver. Perhaps the driver was the prince or was he the one in the cave who had to come out on the road one more time at the end of the day to make the last delivery? Ideas?

I think the 45.Gathering Together also could be referring to the fact that after meeting and talking to him on the road earlier in the day we were all sort of friendly with each other when the box finally did find it's way here.

Well, that was the adventure.
Thanks again for your positive interpretation - It helped me relax and go with the flow and who knows - maybe because there were positive vibes around this that contributed to our being in the right place at the right time to connect - had we come home just a few minutes later I would have missed the call and the driver would have left the box in outer space!
