what could hexagram 16 mean regarding relationships?

Hello,

I'm a bit stuck as to what 16 could mean in regards to relationships. I asked the Yi about an ex:

what should my position be towards x? 16 unchanging

what is the next step that's best for me regarding this relationship? 16 unchanging

I cannot see what the Yi is trying to tell me with hexagram 16…I read somewhere that it could refer to wishful thinking for something that is kind of unrealistic?

Interesting how hexagram 16 came up twice as unchanging…hmm

My commentary should help. You have to try to understand the words of the text here, and particularly the reference to "Responsive Movement" in the Commentary on the Judgement. You move to the music. That's when the world moves with you.

I also received 16 regarding an ex's feelings for me, after meeting each other again months after the break-up. This was several years ago, and we never did get back together, although he did seem to be flirting with me a little bit that day.

I interpreted 16 as a little bit of indulging in wishful thinking, fantasies and dreams that don't get actualized. There may be some temporary enthusiasm that doesn't lead to anything. Anyway, that is how my results played out.

I think 16 shows a potential, because the fantasy element is there. If you could get the oooommph! going to manifest something, then the fantasy would become a reality. Otherwise it stays in the land of unrealized dreams.

There has been some development in the situation in that he has made some sort of 'approach' towards me, not a direct approach but an approach nevertheless … I don't want to give too much information but after he made this approach I contacted him and he responded enthusiastically…

The comment from Bradford 'Move together when you are in synch' makes a lot of sense now..

I will keep you updated when/if there are any further developments in the situation

Getting 16 enthusiasm, in my experience, has translated into a lot of wishful thinking, dreams, fantasies, that don't get realized. If you want the dreams to be actualized, you have to take some action, or the other person needs to take some action. At this point, it's just smoke & mirrors.
