What do dragons have to do with love?

I am very confused. I recently realised that I am in love with someone, whereas before I wouldn't (couldn't) admit it. I asked the I Ching about the situation:

What does she want to happen between us? : Hexagram 1, lines 2.3.5.6 leading to 51

I now realise that I am in love with her, how does she feel about me?: Hexagram 1, lines 4.6 leading to Hexagram 5.

I had backed off because I wasn't sure about our relationship or if she was serious or playing. Now I know I am in love, over time the feelings get stronger and stronger. What is happening? I think she feels for me too, now I am not sure whether to wait or call her.

I am so confused by the meaning of Hexagram 1 that I asked the I Ching to give me a helpful second answer to my second question. I just asked it over again because I didn't understand. The I Ching answered: Hexagram 57, changing line 2 leading to Hexagram 53.

hex 1 can indicate its time to utilise the energy and power at your disposal according to your own will - in other words stop dilly dallying around worrying what she thinks and be dashing and bold - like a dragon or a knight and reveal your love - whats that saying 'a faint heart never won a fair maiden' (or did i make that up).

Seems to me what most of us feel about others is entirely based on what we think they feel for us - knowing someone is in love with you is highly likley to make them instantly more attractive I reckon.

Well seriously with these readings, hex one both times - its like the Yi brushes aside your particular wording and urges you to go for it - IMHO anyway - not that it promises any outcome but the advice I feel is for you to take the lead.

As for your second question 57,2 this reflects you dilly dallying, over thinking things, looking under the couch, trying to figure what she feels etc etc - or its having a gentle laugh at your methods for finding the truth of this matter. This line always makes me think of people looking anywhere thats dark and mysterious looking for the truth - anywhere but the obvious place - and believing what anybody says, any old 'mystic' or 'shaman', anything above what there own feelings and sense tells them.

Thank you Trojan. I asked, "if I let her know about my true feelings for her, how will she react? What will happen?" And I got Hex 1 again! Hexagram 1, changing line 5. Flying Dragon in the Heavens. Leading to Hexagram 14, Possession in Great Measure. That sounds positive to me!

I have to say it does sound very positive indeed - but bear in mind this doesn't automatically mean she'll fall into your arms etc - but at least this is the best way for you to act in this situation - whatever her reaction - acting like this for you is fortunate, as you act in true accordance with your nature/the nature of the time like this.

It would seem that she wants some kind of action to happen between you, all this points to some very lively activity.

I would say that she is not sure how she feels, she seems to be unsure if she wants you or not, and is waiting for further develops to see how it goes.
