My dad lost the keys to my car. He never left the house but he has been going around all afternoon cleaning and fixing stuff.
HYex 62. I don't have any experience with questions like these.

Who can help? 🙏

Very close by and below something or even on the floor.....potentially the floor of the car.

62 Attention to detail. The last thing a person needs to do before a task is complete. Something small. Could indicate the keys themselves.

Search for them in every corner of your mind by saying,"Where are the keys?" and then recite the alphabet saying one word for each letter. ("A-Apple, B-Boy, C-Car.. etc. ..") Within minutes you will be guided to wander over to where ever they are.

Get on the same vibration as you will feel when they show up. Jump up and down and say, "Yea, the keys are found!"

Oracle
'Small overstepping, creating success.
Harvest in constancy.
Allows small works, does not allow great works.
Flying bird calls as it leaves:
The above is not right, below is right.
Great good fortune.'

First thing that comes to mind is they're on the floor somewhere (edit - as Ontheroad just said as I'm typing this 😂 ), not on a shelf or in a cupboard or something. The advice is to lie low, stay at ground level ('The above is not right, below is right.').

Image
'Above the mountain is thunder. Small overstepping.
Noble one in actions exceeds in courtesy,
In loss exceeds in mourning,
In using resources exceeds in economy.'

Try places where your Dad's tasks might have needed more than the usual care or attention to detail. Maybe also try taking those words literally - was he working in any spot in the house that's especially associated with courtesy/respect, mourning (er...photos of deceased loved ones?), economy/ money/ finances?

Did anything he was doing need him to be extra careful, like with sharp tools or ventilation...I'm making things up, but do you see what I mean?

62 also has an association with burial rites, so maybe they're buried under something. Um...was your Dad collecting things anywhere to be thrown away? Maybe check paperbaskets and so on.

Or it could be how you'll find them, not a place.

Fingers crossed!

Oh, and 62 is 61's paired hexagram and follows it in the Sequence. 61 is Inner Truth...maybe pay attention to any inklings or intuition you might have (guessing).

Check to see if the keys are:

~ on a wall hook
~ in a stone cup
~ in the toolbox/tool drawer

Good luck!

62 is also a transition of a small bird across a great big sky. Maybe the keys are close to something that signifies that like plane tickets/tickets, documents that pertain to a transition or change of state/status - near something that takes him or you into the big wide world (hmm as a car does....bike..?)

Thank you all! After a couple of stressed hours of looking for the lost keys my dad remembered he left them in his working trousers. He was wearing them when he asked me for my keys. He put them in his pocket and went on to to do some small chores around the house and then changed into some decent clothes to leave the house. And completely forgot where he put my keys

We looked all over the house, which is like looking for a needle in haystack.. we live in an old cloister wich is incredibly cool but you don't want to loose something small like your keys around here! It's interesting though we live next to an old graveyard (burial ground) And he left his working trousers on the ground, buried under a pile of dirty landry downstairs.

Interesting how 62 UC applies here!
