Who am I ?

I was wondering if any of you out there had asked the Yi this question. Not as in who am I today,but who am I, in regards to the essence of my being here for this lifetime.
Also , is this a reasonable question ?
Is there a hexagram that relates to a lifetime ?

my experience with asking something like that was getting 33, (at the time) which totally freaked me out and disappointed me cause i thought 'geez do i have to 33 for my whole life ??" not a promising thought to a performance artist. (albeit a very reluctant one.)

i dont know if it's a reasonable question. can attest that the yi has always been very patient with me, as i used to always ask it unreasonable questions, yes or no's, you name it, and it would always talk to me. counseling for years. in a way, asking it unreasonable questions really deepend my communication with the yi, kind of like a relationship where it really gets going the more honest you are, the less you play by the rules.

in terms of how i think of the 33 now, which i still think about receiving when i asked that question, i really think about LiSe's insight on her website, which is very different from how i thought about 33 when i got it.

Hi there...interesting question. And I know the answer is in the Yi, but not in just one hexagram...in every hexagram. There are directions all over the book as to how to find out who you are.

It's not an answer you're going to get in a minute either. It takes a lifetime to learn.
