I Wanted to know what was that the other person dislikes or hates about me, since the lack of interest in doing something to be in touch, the hexagram that I got was 42.9 to 3, can’t really make a thing of what is written, any help?

Hi Al,

Thanks for posting! You've got the reading shorthand almost right. I assume what you cast was hexagram 42, with a moving yang line (a '9' line), changing to hexagram 3?

The shorthand works by indicating the line positions of the moving lines rather than what type of line it is. So yours would be written as 42.6 to 3 - hexagram 42 moving at line position 6, to hexagram 3.

Anyway! That's a distressing line to get, but we all have people we don't like for some reason, right?

I think I'd interpret this along the lines of he doesn't feel increased or blessed or enriched by you, because he thinks your "heart's foundation is not lasting." Have you started things with him and not finished them?

When you've done things together, it might feel chaotic or difficult to him - relating hexagram 3 is often how it feels, and 3 is "Sprouting" - imagine an actual brand-new plant sprout, which doesn't quite know where it's going or how to get there, and might have to change direction a lot. I think Yi's saying your friend doesn't enjoy this.

Thanks Leslie, it's interesting how you got that interpretation, maybe I'm biased and was focusing on the changing and possibility to reignite the relationship. We started something but gradually he started to step away, and something tells me that I shouldn't give up. When I asked how I can successfully get in touch again got 21.1.2.3.4.5 to 18, how 22 is where I'm and the reading should be focused in 18?

Unfortunately the typing gods are not with us. 21.1.2.3.4.5 to 18 is not a real reading. You mentioned 22, but 22.1.2.3.4.5 changes to 6, not 18.
