I've got a 26.2.6>36 (great accumulation as present, hiding brightness as resulting) reading at least twice when I ask about the direction I should take on my life (actually both were different questions and I got this reading for both).

I'm trying to understand what it means but I need a guideline. Any help is appreciated.

26 is usually assocated with taming. The accumulation (Where did you find this, please?) imo is the accumulation of yang vitality in stored seeds to provide food during the winter. 26 has the visual appearance of a basket. You are in school, I think, building up your accumulation. As the Image says,

Thus the superior man acquaints himself with many sayings of antiquity
And many deeds of the past,
In order to strengthen his character thereby.

Line 2 suggests you lack a central direction (axletree missing from the wagon) and Line 6 that you can find one in accord with your inner nature. 26 changes to 36. Life is a matter of continual mystery with hidden potential. Seed sprount in the dark. So continue your studies but stay open to the unexpected. If you want a specific course, which goal seems most mysterious to you?
