I see it does refer to marriage, a late marriage. But I know not to take the yi too literally so any interpretations would be helpful. Thanks!

He did approach, that's true. But it's been stalled (again!) It's a pattern we've been in for some time.

In relation to my question "what does he want from me" is it saying he wants me to be patient and he will approach?
