46 - Formation
One is guided until they reach knowledge.
6 - One has to return because nothing will be found.
In the making
18 - Disorder
One needs to abandon their affairs and make themself available to patiently soften their most embarrassing flaws, in order to be able to inspire trust and be engaged by those who can help them.
Your question is not very specific, so the answer is rather general as well.
LiSe, 46.6:
When your path leads you outside of known boundaries, nobody can tell you what to do. You have to find your own path, without example, so you need eyes that can see in the dark, a nose that can follow faint scents, feet that can move in slippery terrain and a mind that can imagine the unthinkable. And utter stamina.
You will advance to new territory, new job/work (Huang calls 18 'Work').
18 is about letting old decay and something new to come in.
As you said - Plunging into unknown waters, having to lose connections and friends, leaving the old behind.
You decide is it beneficial or not.
It's not a good practice to ask y/n question, try something like 'How will I benefit from [applying to this job]?'. Or '[I'm thinking about switching jobs], please comment on that.'
Dear all,
I have been offered an interesting job offer at a different company other than my current workplace, however i am being hesitant abut quiting my current job since i fear of loosing part of contacts, reputation and good relations which i would need anyhow for continuing in my career path with this new job (since i would be more or less condemned for quiting my current job by some important and influential people i think)... There are also other things i fear especially plunging into the unknow waters, but on the other hand i feel like leaving my current job would be (hopefully) a very much liberating thing for me since i am not very happy with the atmosphere there.but since i feel a bit overemotional about the whole thing right now I would very much appreciate some help with this reading, since i might misinterpret it at the moment. Thank you very much in advance for your tips and thoughts on interpreting Save (Evas):bows:.. So I asked i ching, if it is benefitial for me to take on this new challenge and apply for this offer? I got hexagram 46.6 changing into hex 18. I already have some modest explanations and interpretations,
So i asked iching as you recommended another more specific question: how will i benefit from this new job? I got hexagram 50.2> 56. The thing is i just applied for it, then maybe if they chose me i will get a chance for an interview and then wait and see. Hoever since the last time I have posted to this thread, circumstances at my job have gotten completely unbearable and I find it very hard to go to work and fullfil all my bosses directions. I have a very strong aversion towards his work morals. I also asked i ching what shall i expect if i stay ar my current job and got hex 8.1.3.6> 37. I more or less understand the first part it which describes my feelings towards non functioning leadership in my current work but I do not understand how this should lead me back to my family roots? Or maybe fighting for what i was raised as a honest person with a good sound morale (not the morale of my current work atmosphere).
46.6 here indicates you are pressing upwards in to unknown territory. At such times when you cannot see where you are going it is important to keep faith. I don't agree with Ginnie that this means you must suffer materially because of this. The line isn't promising you anything, it's saying basically you have to grow upwards with faith you are headed in the right direction just through sensing it. People have various views of this line but my take is this is advise not to give up because you can't see where you are going. Do it anyway. There was no real need to ask follow up questions but as you have I will look at those too.
How will you benefit from the new job ? Well you don't even know if you got it yet so how can we use this answer. You see I think your 46.6 was encouraging you to keep on keeping on. It was encouraging you to keep applying for things, keep looking. Even if you don't get thi sjob you may get another. You may become discouraged because it is so hard to see where you are going. This is what 46.6 says
'In the dark, pushing upward.
Fruitful with unceasing constancy.' (Hilary's book)
so you can see this is what you must do. However dark it is you keep reaching for the light as a seed might under the ground.
So following from that 50.2 ? Hmm it doesn't seem a direct answer, possibly because you haven't yet got the job yet. It advises that others may not approve and aim to discourage you but they cannot impact on you. I don't know how that would apply ? At least this line does say you have something of real value that others may envy but they cannot harm you. So I'd say this line encourages you to hold on to your own sense of self worth.
Staying in your current job 8.1.3.6>37 ? It appears as if it is no longer feasible to hold together with these people as it is now. The 37 here may simply refer to the organisation you are with. When lines 1 and 6 move I think the whole scenario of hexagram 8 here has played out and 37 is what is now coming through. I'm wondering if this is just a bad time and in fact the old order of things will soon collapse leaving a more sympathetic person in charge ? Hard to say really. All I do know here is that the current situation cannot stay as it is. In 8.6 it all falls apart, there is not enough cohesion. Yet in 37 there is good order and cohesion. So if you think there is any chance someone else may usurp your boss then stay around because things look set to change there. However if you see no possible change at all it may describe you leaving. I think if you do leave you find a good solid structured organisation to work for where you fit in, where you belong(37). Perhaps that 37, which can describe any cohesive working functional unit or group, is your new job ?
Keep your 46.6 in mind though. I think that reading is important to take with you.
Could you elaborate on that?
Were you invited for the interview?
Why did they decline your application?
