(I'm starting a new thread for these so that its first post has up-to-date information.)

On the second Saturday of each month at 7pm UK time (check that in your timezone here), members of Change Circle and WikiWing meet up via Zoom. No extra charge, no extra sign-up, just show up. Check your email for the Zoom link on the day.

The original purpose of these gatherings is to share readings - but if there aren't (m)any readings, we pick a hexagram and pool our ideas on that. Recordings go in the private Change Circle Library, so it's a safe place for readings. This is a tradition that we began in 2020 during lockdown, and we've kept it going ever since.

How to share a reading

If you're a member of Change Circle or WikiWing, and if you will be at the gathering, you're welcome to share a reading. Here's how:
  1. Post your reading to the usual forum - Shared Readings or Reading Circle (for Change Circle members)
  2. Post a link to your reading on this thread.
To post a link -
  1. Copy the url of your new thread. (On a computer, that just means highlight the address in the address bar at the top of your browser and press ctrl+C. On a phone, if you press and hold in the address bar you should get a 'copy' option.)
  2. Come back to this thread, click the 'post reply' button and paste in the url you just copied. (Ctrl+V on a computer, or press and hold in the reply box until you see a 'paste' option on a phone.)
If copying and pasting is a problem for you, just post a reply here with the title of your reading thread, and I (or possibly a friendly moderator!) will edit your post to add the link for you.

That way you'll have a separate thread where people can post their thoughts on your reading, and that won't get entangled with Well Gathering admin things.

On the day of the gathering, I'll check this thread in the morning (UK morning, that is!) before I email round the Zoom link and also let everyone know what we'll be discussing. That way, everyone has a chance to look at readings (or other things) in advance. So if you will be on the call and want to share a reading, please post it here nice and early.

Thank you, Hilary. How timely! I just posted a follow up to my house selling question.
There were no bidders at auction.
Would be great to get input on whether I have interpreted the answers to my new question correctly.

It will be Monday 6 am in winter where I am ... will need to set my alarm to join the gathering!!

Change Circle people, do look at Buzzzy's previous readings too. Maybe we can benefit from hindsight...?

Anyway, we have one or possibly two or three readings to look at (ZeroPoint tells me she may not be able to make it to the call), so we're all set. See you there!

It's that time again! Next Well Gathering this Sunday, 27th August (please note the change of date), at 7pm UK time (here's the timezone converter). If you'd like to come and bring a reading, please post your reading to the relevant forum, and add a link to it here. (If that's confusing, please see the first post of this thread for a longer version.)

I should probably mention that there's a tiny chance I might have to call this one off, as I've caught some bug or other while away. But it seems to be clearing up nicely, so I should be fine by Sunday. That 'Some bug or other' I caught turns out to be COVID, so it's a bit more durable than anticipated. I'm postponing for a week - hope to see you on the 27th!

I'm fully recovered, the gathering's on - readings, anyone, or shall we pick a hexagram?

Hi Hilary. I've just posted in the shared readings space for the first time. This is a "be careful what you wish for situation"... but I would sincerely appreciate you taking a lot. I'm looking to learn, equally looking to understand, heal and grow from my experience. I hope to make it to your Sunday gathering. I shall try my best to. Either way, I don't regret sharing my casts. Do what you will with it.. Best, JJ

I suggest...

If JJ makes it to the call, we can discuss her reading,
"What can be done to reconcile the relationship, please?": 60.2.5 > 24

And if not, let's talk about Hexagram 60 in general. So please bring your Measuring, Limiting, streams-and-lakes ideas either way!

Hey Hilary! I think I saw an email notification come in at some point from you asking me which reading to focus on, but for some reason I can't find the original message to reply. I think you've picked a good one to look at for sure... I was going to say though had you not that 8.5.6 is very interesting in light of 19.3.4 -- or confusing rather because Hexagram 8's ideal is 46 (pushing upward) while when I got Hex 19 in response to"if my relationship would recover" the fact that 19's shadow is 46.. well I'm sure you can see how that's a bit confusing. I'm sure either of these will be fun to untangle and discuss. I will still try to make it this evening, though no guarantees (I'm just all over the place this weekend!). I really don't mind if you go ahead and still discuss even if I can't make it... you have my permission, and it'd be nice to read up on any impressions that come out of... Either way, I hope you have a great Well Gathering Sunday whatever you go with (Hexagram 60 is so fascinating)!

Hi Hilary, I have this last minute reading and would like to get some insights if time permits.
Is there any downside for this separation? 19.2>24. I think there isn't a downside, it is actually a good thing but since I asked about the downside, i got confused and expected something negative.

JJ also got hex 19 .., it would be interesting to hear the discussion, Thank you!

Ah - that would be because I deleted it when you hadn't seen it and I thought it was time for me to email and let people know what we'd be talking about.

I thought the 60 to 24 one was definitely not overtaken by events, one you could certainly use, so that might be best. Also, we haven't done 60 on its own before.

I wouldn't worry about shadows and ideals at all. All very interesting if they add something to your understanding of a reading, but it won't hurt anything for you to ignore them.

Thank you :)

As a rule we don't do readings unless their 'owner' is there, because it's all a bit abstract without your response of recognition (or not).

Readings about downsides can be like that! I'll have a look at this one between now and 7, and hope other people see this too.

Well Gathering coming up this Saturday (please note the change of day)! As ever, if you have a reading to share, please post a link to it here. To quote myself...

No readings? Then let's talk about Hexagram 5, Waiting. Please search your journal for examples to liven things up!

I invited people on Facebook to guess the hexagram we're discussing from the photo. You don’t need to guess, but you might appreciate the photo anyway...

I thought you might approve. It comes from a stock photo site, where 98% of photos are posed, artificial and cringe-inducing - but someone had done a whole series of cats posed next to empty bowls, and every single one has the same expression of deeply confident (you-would-not-dare-not-to-fill-this-bowl) expectation.

If no-one has a reading, we'll still meet - I'll just pick a hexagram, and we can pool our ideas on that. (Any requests?)

Hi Hilary,
This is the first time I have posted a thread .
I did not copy the url, so I’m not sure where this is going to end.
This will be also the first time I will participate in the zoom.
Thank you for your help and guidance.

Here we go again! Well Gathering this Saturday, 11th November. As I mentioned in email, we already have a reading to discuss, and will probably spend time contemplating the hexagrams - 1.1.2.4.5.6 to 15 - more generally, too.
