My question to the IC was: "What can I improve on myself?"
the answer was hex 1 with lines 2 and 5 changing it to hex 30

Both lines speak of seeing the great man. The first one says the dragon is in the field and the second one says the dragon is in the air.

I have been thinking about these lines but don't know how to relate them to myself.
Does it mean I should try and find somebody that can teach me things?
But I was hoping on an answer that would point out weaknesses of my character.
Or do the lines mean I should find these weaknesses myself?

And what about hex 30?
It could mean that I should learn to listen to advise more.

Or maybe the IC is calling me a dragon and a cow? :hide:

HI mazaru

These lines could have any meaning to any number of people, but for now, line two could indicate that it is time to take action and work in some field that appeals to you and that would be of great benefit to the world. In order to do that you will have to see the great man in the fifth place and place yourself under his tutelage, so to speak. In this way you can give light to the world. You must find the path that is right for you, otherwise it will be useless. But at the same time, your talents must not be wasted but be used in the "service of the king,"

Thank you for your time Gene.
The reason I asked this question is because I feel stuck. I am having a tough time right now. And there is nobody I can turn to for help or advice.
Well... nobody but the IC and this forum ;)))

So after thinking of your answer, I asked the IC: "How can I find the great man?"
It answered: 1.1.2.4>53

Again 1 and also line 2 is back.

I took this answer as, stay cool, stay true, wait for the right time.

The great man is you, at least, you in your deeper state of mind. The first line says hidden dragon. The dragon is hidden within you. You must draw it out. When you do this then the "dragon appears in the field." Line four says, "You can either soar in the heights, or you can withdraw into solitude and develop yourself." By going within and develop yourself, you remove the hidden dragon from the depths and have it "appear in the field." In order to do this you must use some form of meditation, (the mountain in hexagram fifty three) and allow that which is within you to develop gradually, until you :See the great man (you).

Thank you Gene.
I've tried meditation before. But I got a very weird experience when I did that. So that scared me so much that I never tried it after that.
Maybe I should try and find some other way of meditation and see how that works out.
Maybe I can try yoga, I know a little bit of that.

Anyhow, it is very nice to hear that I have a great man inside of me ;))
Thank you!
