Hi All

The combination of 10.4>61 its a nutshell to me , although it seems pretty straightforward.
I received it today just a while before and soon I'll be able to compare it with the actual outcome, so I' posting it here to gain some insight and for learning purposes mostly.

I just submitted my assignment and it must be the worst assignment i have EVER done. I'm not trying to sound modest etc.. Its true. Anyways, I asked:
" what do i need to know about the results of this assignment" 10.4 >61

probably, this line indicates that I might have skipped the danger of getting an F. yet 61, if read as "delay executions" or here conclusion doesn't sound that auspicious.

How would you read it ?

ps. reading Bradford "pleading and appealing" may be a warning that I will have to negotiate in the future with the tiger.. err the tutor. What do you think ?

What do I need to know about the results of this assignment?
10.4 > 61

Yes, 61 does look like a nutshell. Master Jou thought it was an egg :)

Caution and circumspection
Lead ultimately to good fortune.

If you didn't tell your tutor you deserved an F, you probably won't get one. But since 61 is Inner Truth, and I take this to refer to the inner truth of your assignment, aren't you supposing that your tutor will not be able to perceive its inner truth?

lol. two nutshell then :)

Nooo, didn't tell her that !!! ;)

sometimes the lines' text with commentaries ( in Wilhelm translation) differ a bit. There is a difference between good fortune and Ultimate success.

This text refers to a dangerous enterprise. :

The inner power to carry it through is there, but this inner power is combined with hesitating caution in one's external attitude.: I read inner power as the preparation which was thorough but as Brad says " to plan to tread the tiger's tail is one thing, while to go forth and walk that walk is another" . So, a good plan is not enough a equally good execution is important.

"This line contrasts with the preceding line, which is weak within but outwardly presses forward. Here one is sure of ultimate success, which consists in achieving one's purpose, that is, in overcoming danger by going forward."
: maybe inner power is the power to believe that you can perform a task. That in a way fits with 61. Actually I was in that mode when In panic i was trying to finish the paper.

Well either I have forgot to reference something and I have some issues that ight be solved in a way or the paper was convincing and it will be an "ultimate:rolleyes: success !!!" ... I mean I"ll get a pass grade.

Strange line...

The outcome of this line is auspicious so I am guessing you did more than just escape. You didn't say why you think the work you've done is the "worst ever." You haven't said you didn't try, but that you aren't satisfied. I don't know what you are involved in -- is it Art work? Why do I have that idea?

Whatever you have done it seems like maybe you've crossed some line or taken some chance of making a point or proposing something that you fear may not appeal to your professor. Nonetheless, I would imagine from this line that he/she will be impressed anyway, or find some facet of what you've produced risky but interesting. I think this will come out alright, perhaps because you make an important point with your submission, you are taking a chance on making a potentially unpopular point. You are very humble in your assessment of your work and attitude toward what you are offering; really apologetic in fact. I think this line calls for that atittude and suggests that this demeanor is successful in presenting what you've done to best advantage. At least I hope so Anemos. I'm sure whatever happens, your heart is in the right place with what you've created.

"what do i need to know about the results of this assignment"

I find funny this phrase "what do i need to know about....". I've been reading a lot this phrase here and it always makes me smile. What if you dont NEED to know anything at all??? :D

It seems like you're reading the answer as the outcome or the description of the results. In that case, I would say that the results will surprise you in a positive way regardless your fears.

BUT AGAIN, since you didn't ask what would be the results but what do you need to know about those results... what if the answer is (no matter what the results may be) "you need to learn how to manage your fear to success"? or "you need to relax about academic results"? or "don't chase my tail with this question, everything's gonna be ok"... ;)

Wish you all the best in your studies

Hi Maria,

I find the litteral response very clear.

Line 4 goes yin -
Great caution is required when treading on the tiger’s tail
but the outcome (of treading with caution) is fortunate.

So a challenge, but one you should overcome ;)
Hex 61 may refer to your honesty in admitting to yourself you could've done better, and in being very innocent in your expectations.

Looking forward to the actual outcome!

I will be really surprised if the result is a poor grade. Seems like this work is highly acceptable.

you are making some interesting points Arabella. Yes, I don't give easily credit to myself but in this case , I know that while the preparation was very good and i was aiming in a very high grade Due to other factor I miss that advantage. Writing a paper in a few hours.. dunno... Would be unrealistic to believe that it will get a good grade.

I think , that reading talks about another thing... touching another level or the situation. success is the fact I didn't gave up and did my best given the circumstances.

Thank you for your insights :)

Yes, maybe this is 61 here. Or that I know i did my best without thinking how better i could have done it. I haven't read it again after submitting it and I don't think I want to go back and start thinking how different I could do it. will wait for my tutors feedback

A few days ago, I choose without tossing that the advice I need would be hex 43. I even change my avatar and put a visual of that hex. Maybe this is what this reading highlights and support my hypothesis that both reading have nothing to do with the grade but my overall attitude

Its not a very poor grade Almost a B ( 1point and would be B actually) but not something outstanding ;)

Still believe ... and mainly because of the second reading... its not about the actual results.

On the other hand , its a good example what "success" could mean in a reading. So here success, might be that although I was afraid for a low mark , I manage not to get eaten by the tiger.

the combination of the two reading is something doesn't fit in the case.

Thanks again for your contributions :)

Kinda do in my twisted way to read them That's why the second answer was so interesting

- Knock Knock
- Yes darling?
- I'm afraid I'm gonna get a F, what do I need to know abut my grade?
- Don't worry everything's gonna be ok, you don't even need to ask me that
- Ok, but what would be the results ?
- Trust me, you'll pass; you dont need an oracle to know that

Latter
- Hey Ms Yi I did pass, almost a B
- Toldya :p
