Thank you for your insights, oh dear, I'm certainly not going to make any moves as I'm a woman so it falls to the man to pursue )) But is he going to? We work together, though in different lines of business, thankfully...

Should I ask the Yi if he'll make his move eventually, or does 10.5 hold the answer?
Will he/ won't he?

I don't believe he is 'hungry or provoked' - You're playing it safe. If you're sincere and push things along that may change.

Hey, I asked if he's going to ask me out You won't believe it, hex 5 - Waiting, lines 5 and 6, the relating hex - The Taming Power of the small LOL! I tend to stick with Hilary's view that the relating hex is the current situation/background. He is rather senior so making the wrong move could harm his standing seriously - he's not my boss, so can't control me
But lines 5 and 6 - looks like he's gonna make a move but it seems more like a fall or what?

Well, obviously there's a delay here with Waiting. He may proceed at the 'right time' during an event of some sort. Is there a gathering coming up? Food and drink... may overindulge. Watch for sincerity... I believe you still need to refer back to the original hexagram and tread carefully here. That may be do to the difference in positions, or possibly something larger.

A quick update - nope, he wasn't too hungry or too provoked - nothing ever happened and then he left the company ))

Looks like H.5 was referring to your desire for a partner and overall independence in this issue rather than the actual "will he or won't he" deal.

Nonetheless, it looks like someone is out there for you. A bit more waiting is always worth it if the ideal partner moves into view naturally and without any forcing.
