There is no level ground without a slope.
No going out without a return.
Constancy in hardship is no mistake.
Do not sorrow about its truth.
In eating and drinking there is blessing.

Interesting to read this as if one had asked, “Is the earth round or flat?”
“No level ground without a slope” - as a description of the earth being round. Though it appears flat close up, the earth actually curves - slopes downwards - if we look to the far off horizon.
“No going out without a return” also seems to confirm that the earth is round and how even if one goes out and travels in a straight line one will travel in a circle and eventually end up returned to the place where they started.
The line concludes by advising one should just keep on and not be disappointed upon discovering there is no final destination one must arrive at. Rather one ought travel the world seeking out all the best restaurants!
Works for me.
