My question was:"What am I doing wrong?"

The question is about a situation that's just not progressing. I seem to be very stuck. And any attempt on my side to make progress will just make it more stuck.

The answer 12.2

°Six in the second place means:
They bear and endure;
This means good fortune for inferior people.
The standstill serves to help the great man to attain success.

How would you interpretate this?

Does that mean that I'm keeping up with the wrong people?
Does it mean I am inferior?
Or does it mean it is ok, things will work out later and that I should stay on this road?

The longer you look at an answer the IC gives, the more interpretations pop up in your head.
Or maybe it's just wishful thinking :D

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for reading

It means your higher qualities and capabilities aren't welcomed or appreciated inthis situation. A classic scenario of this line is for example an intelligent person doing a menial job and making suggestions to the boss for improvements. The boss in this scenario doesn't want suggestions or anything like that from the emloyee here...just obedience. That could feel very frustrating to the employee who would like to use her gifts of mind to get creative in the job.

So I'd see it not that this is your fault at all but that you are in a situation where your gifts aren't appreciated. One has a choice here. One can accept the menial role and also accept that your gifts are of no interest and you are of no interest to the employer but do it anyway for the money.....OR seeing as this isn't a rewarding situation move on to somewhere you better qualites will be used and wanted and appreciated.

Theres a disconnect in hex 12 and there often is between people the viewingof each other not as multi dimensional peope but rather cogs in a wheel.

I'd say this is quite a mortifying time.....but whatever happens here don't blame yourself. The only thing you may be doing 'wrong' is believing you have to please someone or something and under valuing yourself

If this isn't about an employment situation one has to transpose this interpretation accordingly.

I'd add theres generally an offer of 'pay' of some kind and it does say in 12 that the superior man does not allow himself to be honoured with revenue (or something like that)..in other words don't let yourself be bought for a price way way way below your value.

I recall getting this line where someone had asked to interview me about something and I asked if I should do it and got 12.2. I did it but it turned out they heard nothing of what i said, weren't interested in what I said and very much had their own agenda about about what answers they wanted. I felt a bit used somehow and wished I'd said no.
