I had a complicated pregnancy 6 years ago. I had developed a cholestasis and my son had to be delivered preterm, at 7 months at the hospital via C-section. He suffered medical malpractice when born, resulting in Cerebral Palsy. He is 5 years old now.
I have always felt and thought those experiences were very much informed by my own low self esteem, lack of confidence, and an incapacity of being present at the moment. Thus my 'own inner power' was not there. I recovered some of it (or that's what I thought) through being able to breastfeed for as long as I wanted, which was highly important for us.
Time has passed and we've been thinking about having a second child, and through natural childbirth at home. I know women who have had successful experiences after C-sections, with the right professional accompaniment. I'm much more confidant and learned now. Though this can be a controversial issue for some, I believe natural childbirth to be fundamental for the development of the child and also for the experience of motherhood.
What about having our second child by natural birth at home? 14.1.2.4>52
To me this means that through correct care of the situation (stillness, being present, meditation, attention) I can achieve the possession of the great, the abundance, and the owning of my own power. Which I read as positive outcome.
But what about line 4, "this is not one's own domain"? Does it refer to my own home as not being the correct place for the birth?
