I've read the other threads about this line but I want to know:

Is this about coming on too strong over a "great idea" or "great possession"? The relating hexagram is 26 which is of course about taming great power. What exactly is the distortion here with this line? What's the "problem", if I can put it that way. Is it really an advice to have some humility?

Considering that 14 follows 13. Fellowship, I assume the great possession is our links with others. It''s not what you have, it's who you know.
The fourth line is the position of the adviser. It is a weak place, but in 14 we have a strong line here. So it could be the power behind the throne, or the danger that we assume we ARE the power behind the throne, or that we have some special connection or "pull" with the ruler. Thus the advice is not to brag about one's connections or to assume that one will receive favored treatment.

Rosada, you explained that very well. This is how I imagined it as well. It's advice is to not get too full of oneself, go beyond one's station, assume that you're more important than you are. One must retain some humility.

You are quite right, I am getting my threads confused, I was refering to franka, I made a mistake about the possession that esolo is refering to, I have no idea what it is or who.
