I’m considering moving to Cornwall.. in fact, it’s sort of happening without me.. I am now priced out of the market where I live and after a year of taking my eye off the ball with business, feel I need to buy something with the small resources I have left - for my future security - whether I live there or not (I’m currently renting after having sold my property and ploughed most of the equity into my business last year).

There was nothing really within my price range here - (in a part of the country I moved to last year to be near my friend who recently died) and on a walk a few weeks ago ‘Cornwall’ dropped into my head.. and I looked on rightmove and found a tiny place in a beautiful fishing harbour, made an offer and it was accepted (all in the space of 24 hours!) and should complete any day now. I had thought I’d stay here in my rental property and rent out that place I buy in Cornwall… Though now.. I see no reason to stay here.. and think maybe I should move there.. my friend who died had always wanted to move to Cornwall and never did (another friend reminded me of this) so this feels a bit like guidance from her..

I like it here but it’s expensive.. conservative.. not that creative (and I am artist at heart.. work with artists, should really be doing my own painting though focus my career now on selling others) and everywhere and everything reminds me of my now passed friend... so it feels like it’s time to move.. though goodness I have moved SO much over the last 4-5 years - 10 times probably.. so I’d like to land somewhere.. find a home.

Q How will it be for me if I move to Cornwall? 15.6 - 52
- Stilling in integrity? It’s a very small, modest property so this could be reflecting the space itself…

Will I make a happy home in Cornwall?
42.2.5.6 - 19
Love the 42 and the 19 though 42.6 looks a bit worrying.
Increase - nearing… ? It will radically reduce my outgoings so I’ll be on safer footing financially which this may be reflecting…

How will I feel if I move to live in Cornwall?
33 unchanging
- Hmm might that be a bit isolated? Is 33 reflective of positive emotions… 🤔 or more of a kind of hiding away.. retreating.. like the idea of a safe retreat, though don’t want to be in hiding from life… hmm worry I might be out on a bit of a limb there - it’s a remote corner..

What kind of life will I have if I move to Cornwall?
33.4 - 53

- I like this.. that the retreat will lead to something good and enduring if I’m patient?

Hello Sarah_

This got me thinking....

..." I looked on rightmove and found a tiny place in a beautiful fishing harbor, made an offer and it was accepted (all in the space of 24 hours!) and should complete any day now."

All the readings you left started with 15.6-52.

.... Imagine that the answers are indirectly linked to "an impulsive movement of wanting to resolve or improve a given situation".

...Does it make sense for you to consider all the answers given from this point of view?

Yes, that was the first reading following an impulsive / intuitive (?!) decision.

It does make sense to consider the subsequent readings in relation to the first answer..

"an impulsive movement of wanting to resolve or improve a given situation". - this feels like an accurate reflection of my mindset.. is this how you interpret 15.6 - 52 ?

Thank you for your answer and it’s clarity. It’s sobering and that is definitely the inner drive.. to improve a situation..

I’ve been feeling over the last 24 hours that moving to Cornwall isn’t a very good idea…

Though I think an idea might be emerging / dropped into my thinking on a walk in the forest today… I think by buying the place in Cornwall I might be able to afford a place where I’d like to live.. it would take a few steps and it would take a little while to pull off - a few months at least or maybe even a year..
I can renovate the place (maybe that’s where the 33 comes in)

re-mortgage, release equity and then get a buy to let somewhere that I would like to live.

.. it’s not entirely honest because the property I would be renting out I would actually say I lived in and the property that I lived in I would actually say I was renting out 🤔🙃

Thank you for your input.

Not directly, but the text of the line invites a more realistic and balanced view in relation to your mindset.

15.6: "The call of integrity.
fruitfull to use this to mobilize the army,
and bring order to city and state."

Hilary Barrett

It seems to me that a decision like the one you want to make requires a more balanced and realistic strategy... "The call of integrity."
...And certainly, your situation is not easy when you are pressed by the few options at the moment, but for this same reason it becomes even more urgent to concentrate and mobilize all your forces... "fruitfull to use this to mobilize the army,"
... mobilize all your forces to draw up a strategy that puts in order how to manage your current and closest resources in alignment and coordination with more distant and long-term resources... "and bring order to city and state ."

Dear breakmov,

That was really helpful, thank you. Your comments made a lot of sense and on the back of them I clarified some priorities/an action plan related to some variables with a deadline upon which I would need to do certain things to avoid financial jeopardy. I will start a separate thread with some questions related to this.

Many thanks indeed,
Sarah
