Some time ago , due to some health problems among other things , I've lost to some extent certain cognitive abilities (ability to visualize / face recognition takes a bit longer than normal , etc . ) . These things can be very important in some creative activities .
Frustrated , I did a divination about if/when am I going to get ,my abilities/talents back .
I got 15 changing to 11 . My first impression was that it was telling me to be contempt with my current limitations . Thoughts ?

hi zeroone,

not really sure what you refer to as 'creative activities' but my first thought on your 15/11 reading was that what you feel is missing could be leveled out by cultivating what is in good working condition . . sometimes the body itself takes care of that, as in cases of physically impaired people where one faculty can fill in the blanks of other faculties . . not sure about the lines you got but they do seem to be saying that by accepting things as they are you can find ways to flourish in your creativity . .

Nigel Richmond in his 'Language of Lines' names 15 'Adapting to the flow' and about lines 1 and 2 he writes:

Bottom line: The flow will carry him and he takes part, imposing nothing

Second line: Satisfied for them to be what they will be, he is released from right and wrong. To maintain this broadens him

take care!

Thanks :) . I was hoping that with enough training link I could become an artist . It's very hard for me not being able to process things visually . Blackness in the mind ... it's a little like being dead inside . I can still draw lips , eyes ... but I do it mechanistically , like writing letters . When I look at that picture now , sometimes it's a face , sometimes it's just the amalgam of features that make up a face . Kinda hard to explain .

hi again

. . that sounds really tough . . re-reading Richmond's lines makes me think about how art is not really about objective or realistic representation but more about trusting in the freedom of expression . . I think this could be what the 2nd line is about: not caring if what you are doing is 'correct' but if it is real in its own right, getting more into the flow of expressive movement instead of trying to control the outcome of your work .. I think you got an encouraging reading, you could try things to see what works best . . a thing that comes to mind is trying to draw simple figures with closed eyes, learn to 'see' with your hands more? . . just a thought . .
