17.1 vs 57.5

Hi,
I applied to Grad Schools recently. I received a few acceptance letters and have narrowed my choices down to two schools. I asked the I-Ching the following questions:

What would be the effect of me going to School A? The I-Ching responded 17.1
What would be the effect of me going to School B? The I-Ching responded 57.5

Which of these answers appears more favorable?

School B. Judging by the hexagrams, School A has social advantages, and School B is more academic.

I have to agree with Pocossin. Line 57.5 brings pure good fortune, while 17.1 is rather iffy, in my opinion. I think it is an instruction to go out and speak with people about your choice of schools. Also, the part about those in power undergoing a change simply means that somebody changes their mind about something. That could mean anything.

I have to agree with pocossin on School A indicated as more of a social school and School B being more of an academic school, but I think the effect of this is a bit more complex. What I see in the reading of school A is an initial period of loneliness or inwardness which will completely reverse and then continue, creating a strong foundation to work on (perhaps a strong foundation of friends, business contacts, etc.). School A is the easier path.

School B's reading, however, indicates to me a very difficult path that will require paying attention to what's going on around you, you will make it through, however (like the wind persists in the harshest of weather, or wood grows back) and it will lead to incredible flourishing/creation/honing of skills, yet this is still within the confines of difficulty. School B is the hard yet rewarding path.

I have no idea what schools you're inquiring about, but through the I Ching this is what I happen to see. An easy path of connections, and a hard path of knowledge. Up to you.
