Hi,
A person close to me suffers from clinical depression. He has stopped communicating with me for almost a month.

I asked the I Ching " What is the nature of this situation and what's the best way to act on it at the present?"

I got 20.5.6 to 2.

What I understand from this two hexagrams is that I need to seek the help of "allies" - hexagram 2 - in order to be able to observe what's coming next.

Is my understanding correct? I feel a bit clouded in my analysis, at the present.

Many thanks for your help.

Thanks ocenagirl. I've structured the question in such way because Jungian psychoanalyst and I Ching user dr Shinoda Bolen advises on structuring questions this way. I'll follow your suggestion , though. Thanks for your help.

What is the nature of this situation?
Hexagram 20.5.6 - Hexagram 2
It is a situation that you are watching at this time but not actively participating in. A Wait-and-See situation?
What is the best way to act on it at present?
Hexagram 20.5.6 - hexagram 2.
Keep an eye on it but don't take action. Wait-and-see.

Dear Rosada,
Thank you very much for your insight. It is very much a wait and see situation. I need to find the path I've lost by over-stretching for the depressed person.

Thanks.
