Background: Hubby and I are in the process of purchasing a home, tomorrow is the last day to back out without losing money. I have some internal conflict because he has mostly been nonchalant about it. When we married he moved in with me from his rental and quickly cluttered the space. I ended up moving some of my things into storage. This was 4 years ago. I'm annoyed 😒 that he got more space and I got less and that my stuff is in storage. So I initiated the move. He says he is concerned about finances. We financially qualify for it and more of his income will be spent on bills/mortgages if we continue. I'm the primary bread winner so most of my income goes to bills. He usually has equal if not more money than me left to spend, save, or invest. We plan to rent our current home. The home we have an offer on under contract is bigger.

I asked: "Please advise if we should pull out of it?"
Answer: 22.1 >52

Then, "Advice on whether to continue with purchase."
Answer: 58 Unchanging

What say ye?

Line 22.1 He adorns his feet. He discards the carriage and walks.

This line refers to using your own resources in an endeavor and it will be tough, but the end results could be worth it.

58uc Joy. Success. It is beneficial to persevere.

This seems like pretty strong advice to go through with it.

One caveat... The question you asked the yi was for advice on whether buying the house or not will be a good thing. Based on what I read in in your post, however I wonder if your main concerns are actually about the inequity in your relationship with your husband in a financial sense. I think the yi is saying the new house is a good idea in and of itself, but you might want to consult again regarding how this investment will affect your relationship with your husband if you go through with it. (22.1 suggests to me that you’ll be shouldering most of the expenses here, and I worry that this might put pressure on an already sore point.)

Hex22 puts in evidence the necessity of the existence of content in the form...for example art is considered art because it shows the hidden content, which emanates, from the form.

and so...

22.1 >52 advises, before looking at options with more content, to concentrate on what you have today, precisely to "assure" that, from the beginning, there is content in that more "frugal" option.

Then, "Advice on whether to continue with purchase."
Answer: 58 Unchanging

58un confirms to stop the interaction with this purchase idea .

As Amaterasu said, it also seems to me there are some red flags in your description of the situation...a new house is an investment that requires a lot of work and tuning in the two members of the couple.

Thank you both. 2 conflicting interpretations, will a tie breaker emerge or am I back 🤔 to figuring this out myself?
This, for me, highlights the difficulty of the Yi. It can always be interpreted any way.

Hello;

to me both readings indicate yes, go for it. 22.1 is putting away your current carriage, and 58 shows being open.

Good luck

I did ask the question you suggested regarding how this investment will affect your relationship with your husband if we go through with it. I received 17 UC. Thank you!

Could it be that the iching is giving you a very literal answer? I.e., If you buy the house, the two of you will sleep (live) there.

Otherwise, Hex 17 represents pursuing/following, and with two people often the latter (in a leader-follower type of situation). Perhaps the yi is saying he’ll go along with whatever you choose to do?

22.1 - 52. You need to be very practical, down to earth about this.

58uc. You need to talk more. Use this purchase as an opportunity to discuss all your issues.

So did you back out or are you going forward with it?

Rosada,

We are under contract. We are quite grounded now and are definitely having conversations we've never had prior. Thank you!
