I’d like some help with 24.3.4 > 55. I asked the I Ching to ‘comment on my keeping distance from a particular person.’
Line 3 seems to speak of returning and returning again, of vacillating about a decision or direction, or repeating mistakes, but no blame. Could this refer to my returning to a frustrating situation again and again?
Line 5 seems to speak of returning to oneself, following one’s own path even if that means being solitary.
At this point, I’m interpreting this Return to mean ‘from involvement with this person’ and so keeping distance would make sense. I’m not sure what 55 is about in this cast.
I've actually had several casts that included 24 in the last month or so about this situation, all focused on questions asking essentially ‘what’s going on?’(in light of a frustrating lack of progress). (24.6 > 27 - not favorable; 8.1.5 > 24 – favorable and also a need to allow others a way out; 24 unchanging – not sure about this.) Is it all about returning to myself, as in turning back away from this person? I’ve generally viewed 24 as indicating a turning point toward a better time. What else would be helpful to consider about 24?
Adding to my confusion are two casts where I received 53.5.6 > 15 that I took to suggest there is potential for relationship here, but it will be slow in coming. What am I missing? (I'm very attracted to this person and am aware my interpretations could be a biased by that.)
