hi everybody I've never joined a group before being the solitary kind but this community has helped me without knowing it for a time through insight on your posts which I will now join to ask for help as I'm so concerned that I might be not seeing clearly.
I asked for prognoses of a just detected health condition which requires operating next week....

I understand that it will be difficult, that it has to be taken as a sustained effort keeping and caring for resources....but when I saw the stairway to heaven ....line, well I haven't been an angel ... and don't believe in heaven or hell...so where is the highway taking me?
I've been using the book for almost 50 years as the intuitive I am but never discussed my readings... now I need to open up!
I'll appreciate your feelings on this one!

I hope you are doing OK under the circumstances. I do not think the answer is dire. I am just laying out my interpretation, and I try to have a positive outlook even during dark times. Also you will see a lot of “maybe”.

Looking at the relating Hexagram (19) Approach: There is an opportunity to meet and discuss things, and the image could be referring to the physician. We all hope that our physicians would would have the will to teach, and have no limits in tolerance and protection of the people.

Thus the superior man is inexhaustible In his will to teach, and without limits In his tolerance and protection of the people.​

Sometimes people are not candid with their physician, so maybe it is suggesting that, or it could be saying discussing your anxieties could help alleviate them. Maybe that is what you are doing here?

With regards to Great Taming:

26.3: You have become aware of danger but unlike the pits in 29 where you have no choice but to hang on, here you have some control particularly if you have a plan of action.

Since you are in the middle 26 at this point your power is restrained, which is why the text seems to say “Make a Plan! Practice! Prepare!” not “Take Action!”.

Awareness of danger, With perseverance, furthers. Practice chariot driving and armed defense daily. It furthers one to have somewhere to go.​

26.6: Being the last line of Great Taming (or The Taming Power of the Small) this is the point where the restraints talked about in the preceding lines are being released and action can be taken. “Attaining the way of heaven” I think is saying you have a path forward now. Maybe you are being shown a path forward.

One attains the way of heaven.​

As an aside I tend to view line 6 to be like a step away from the hex that follows. In this case (27) Nourishment. So pay attention to your diet after all is said and done maybe?
