29.4 to 47 and 51.1.2.5 to 47 - relationships

Dear all,

I am writing here for the first time, although I have been reading for some time. Your insights help me understand my hexagrams. Now I am asking for help because I cannot interpret new hexagrams objectively.

I have a boyfriend with whom my relationship is strained - after a lie / betrayal in the past, I find it hard to trust him. Today I couldn’t contact him for a long time, although he usually tells me if he plans to be very busy. He later said he just wanted to take a walk alone. And again, my distrust... I think he wasn't alone.

I asked the question: Was he lying to me / was he really not alone?
The answer was 29.4 changing to 47

Could this mean that I am interpreting his behavior incorrectly = can't keep things simple and pure?

Then I thought I need to get to the point. I asked if he has another woman / is interested in another.
The answer was 51.1.2.5 changing to... 47 (again).

Could anyone help me to understand? Thank you very much.

Looks like you're Confined either way. What sort of a box are your thoughts putting you in?

Would you be more shocked to find there was, or that there wasn't, another woman (or man?).

29.4 suggests there might be another way to think about it (the rope imagery) but it could also be a "Give yourself enough rope to hang by" sort of thing. If you already doubt him, what would convince you otherwise?

Doubt itself might be confining.

I think 29.4 - 47 describes your dropping in on him - calling on your cell - and finding him 47. alone.

Thank you very much for your insights I have something to think about... I’ll probably have to look for ways to deal with my sick thoughts that hurt me more than reality (or I can’t even see reality until I'm locked in a box full of my sick thoughts).
