Hi!
I asked what I should do to be successful in my current position, the answer was 35.3>56. I’m not sure if it means this is a transitional position toward something else? As a background, I’ve been in this position for about 5 months now, after being let go from a previous job. Beside the fact that I carry some insecurity from being let go last time (although it was not connected sto performance), a theme in my jobs has been what I perceive as a lack of confidence, which because I’m in a creative and leadership position is cause of stress and anxiety. In this position there’s someone in the leadership team that likes the way I work and supports me, but I still have a lot of anxiety and impostor syndrome, which makes it difficult for me to push my creative ideas… help in understanding the reading would be much appreciated, I’m really looking for guidance here. Thank you!

"The light rises over the earth
Expansion
The noble young one, therefore,
naturally radiates clarity of character"

The upper trigram is Li, fire. This represents your work and coworkers, generally everything around work, except your inner work. I interpret there is passion, commitment and clarity in the objectives that you and your coworkers have. Strong relationships and overall progress.

The lower trigram is Kun, earth. The receptive. You should be open to the passion that exists in your work. You must be like the earth receiving sunlight and grow from it. The judgment says, paraphrasing, that you will make progress by receiving gifts (horses, very symbolic), and breeding them. Take in the gifts, perhaps of experience or support, and multiply them. Also, the trigram earth changes to trigram mountain. Right now, you have closed yourself off to your coworkers. That's my interpretation.

For the changing line, to me it says you can and should take more liberties in your work. What this means to you I don't know, but since you are in a creative position...

That's all I feel is worth saying. Cheers.

35.3 56. Confidently leave the past behind and move on.

56. The Traveler is interesting here in that it seems to reassure you that are able to provide for yourself where ever life leads you. Also maybe suggests not looking too obsessively for approval or acceptance from your co-workers. Trust your inner creativity. Also maybe particularly good ideas coming from traveling about, bringing in fresh inspiration.

Thank you both!
This is making me think something along the lines of “you’ve taken time to observe and learn, now you can be confident that you can lead and take liberties…” could the first hexagram be read as the past that I need to build on to move forward? Is it telling me to find the confidence to lead? That’s exactly what I’m struggling with, not sure if there’s any part of the reading that points me to where and how I should build that

I asked another related question: what does leadership of this company think of me? And I got 26.1.3.6>7. Can you help understanding how it might relate to the previous question? Could it be that they see me as someone who can bring order and process?

You’re learning to connect and be a part of the team. Maybe training to eventually be a manager of a small team - like the Sargent in the 7. army.

The hexagram is translated to progress or expansion, but honestly, I do not believe it is asking you to lead. Rather to be receptive. You asked what to do to be successful and the lower trigram representing you is earth. If trigram Qian (heaven) was present even as a nuclear trigram maybe, but it is not.

Maybe something I did not mention is that the moving line changes the lower trigram from earth to mountain. Mountain is keeping still. So not lead, but perhaps you need to manage the balance between being receptive and putting up boundaries.

You clearly have an idea in mind of what you should do, and I really understand how uncomfortable and anxiety inducing is when the reading does not align with it. Who do you trust, you or the Yi... or me, I guess?? It's not easy, I know.

Hex 26 is Accumulation. Heaven under mountain. My interpretation is that they think of you as having great potential, but that you are rather unyielding. That you are represented by Qian does indeed mean they see you as someone who can bring order and process.

First changing line indicates to me that the leadership do not see you fit to persist when it is hard and that you should quit.
Second line indicates they see you having potential if you demonstrate discipline daily in the face of said hardship.
Third line says that believe you to follow your creative and leadership instincts. Perhaps yes, they want you to lead.

All these lines contradict each other, sure, but it might be that these is how some of the leadership see you (I don't know how many bosses you have), because they might have mixed feelings about you even individually, let alone as a group.

This reading confirms the view I had from your previous one:

"I asked what I should do to be successful in my current position, the answer was 35.3>56."

take advantage of this "clear opportunity"(35) to work with integrity and pragmatism in carrying out your role without drawing attention to yourself since you are still in the situation of a "traveller, someone new to the company"(56), still with few " helpers" who can support you during your stay at this company.

"what does leadership of this company think of me? And I got 26.1.3.6>7."

This company "thinks of you", or rather it expects you to be able to "create leadership potential in yourself"(26.1.3.6 -- 7) with the aim of gathering a team to share a common interest around a creative vision with substance.

*** takes into account "change patterns":
-See how the role of hex22 and hex47 in 26.1.3.6 -- 7
-See how the role of hex15 and hex10 in 35.3 -- 56
