ELLO ALL
I recently had some bad news a girl I have been corresponding online with for a number of years has apparently been in a car accident
She is in Africa, her GF told me about it. She gave the doctor my details and he has written me a letter and small medical report , it appears to look official and its a request for money for her medical bills
I have been friends very close friends with this girl for a long time.

I asked what i needed to know about this situation and recieved
40.2.3>62
which alarmed me even though i have spoken to the doctor on the telephone a number of times i thought this was maybe a scam but when i think of the conversations i have had with her over the years and she has only asked for money 2 or 3 times no more than any girl has ever asked me or friend or whatever.
She has sent me allot of pictures of herself, like allot so i would think it would be hard to obtain that many pictures of one person like she has sent me over 50
I then asked just straight our is this doctor who he say he is

Then I recieved 26.1.2.3.6>2 which seemed better

I would be so disapointed if this was not what i thought it was, whenever i have done other readings about her they have come out 100% positive
So i need a bit of help here, some other perspectives
I dont think its unsusal to ask for money for medical bills
but maybe it was the first reading i did

The problem if she does need my help i need to be there

:bows:

Thanks for any help
Steve

Sounds like a scam to me but maybe things work differently where you are. If you're not sure don't pay.
If shes just an online friend and you never met her...don't pay.... unless you want to of course. I'm not referring to your readings here, it would just seem crazy to pay someones medical bills if you weren't sure about it regardless of what the Yi said.

Much spam and scams I receive from African countries. I wouldn't trust it. But then again, I'm a New Yorker; we don't trust anyone.

This answer is very disappointing indeed but very enlightening for you.

Line 40.2 is talking about people trying to have you over, in this case it says 3 people, the girl, her friend and their "doctor" friend. You have to avoid this one for sure, kill your idea of sending money, this is a scam.

Line 40.3 says that you have money which encourages people like this girl to cheat you, you say yourself that you have given her money in the past, now she seems to be after something more substantial.

Hex 62 Basically keep your money in your pocket, the flying bird has delivered the message(scam) but now it is time for you to stay still and very grounded in reality.

As for the "doctor", he could well be a "doctor" but he is in on this thing with the other two.

As you should know this monkey business is going on in many countries, "innocent" girls preying on men like yourself, she has robbed you before, do you want to make it third time lucky for her? I wonder how many other men she is also scamming? I have seen some girls who make a very good living out of scamming men such as yourself, with many men in different countries all sending money.

Thanks for the update Steve. Well, I guess we have to experience everything at least once..
How would you interpret the lines now that you have actually lived them?

Hey Rosada

Hope you had nice Easter, mine was going well until I burnt down the inn???

I think line 2 especially is clearly about to me anyway, going against your gut feeling on an issue. Its advice i think about trusting yourself. In my case I did it anyway and guess in my case it was only money. I think on a general sense we all have come across situations where we tell ourselves we should not do something.

It appears to be a warning of straying off your correct path. Then possibly something or someone else will benefit from your mistake. I am guess also I am learning that the Yi attempts to keep us on the correct path but there are plenty of weaves and turns.

It depends whether or not we take the advice, that is why I believe this advice is in the book of changes. So many times we go against this, lets say for arguments sake our 6th sense or third eye. Then live to regret it,

In a black and white sense, the Yi clearly advised against my plans and so did everyone else who of I asked advice yet I still did it.

It could be anything like a pushy salesman or something or someone you simply dont trust.
So I would think the situation is powerful if you were to cast the line.
Like almost bewitching type thing.

I havent cast the line since but if I did again I would take a step back I guess.
Maybe slow down and meditate on my next move.

In hindsight its quite a lucky line as its strong advice

Steve

Steve,
thanks for the update.
40.2 is a warning about people.

I think we need to put this 40.2 into WikiWing. Something brief like,
"Advice that those three people were 'Nigerian Scam' artists."

Olga, aren't you glad you didn't let the pregnant couple move in with you?

I put it in WikiWing.
You can always edit it later.

I think stuff like this happens even to the smartest and wisest. As humans we all have hearts and we love deeply therefore we’re always willing to open our arms and hearts for those in need even if we’re positive we’re being taken advantage of. This is unfortunate that it happened to you but least you know you have the capacity to love, be kind and compassionate. Next time I need money I know who to ask lol j/k;)

I asked the I Ching how to apply the answers we get, given that - as Steve mentions - we so often don't understand or go ahead and do the dumb thing anyway. I got hexagram 20. View uc which I take to mean that even though we may not be able to change what's happening, consulting the I Ching can give us an expanded view of situations and thus help us change/improve our perspective.

We have to Observe/look/pay attention/contemplate the answers in order to comprehend them.
This is especially true when you get a reading that doesn't immediately 'jump at you.' or make you go, "Oh, Aha!"

Simple.

I was browsing as I just got this line for a medicine I was advised to take by a friend of Mom's (the doctor didn't mention it but it's supposed to be an over the counter thing, nothing big).

I asked: taking this drug, what do you think?

First idea is that taking this drug is like taking three foxes.
But then I wondered whether this friend is a scam, this medicine a delusion (alternative cure)

mumble mumble :rolleyes2::stir:

I haven't bought it for the time being.
