40.4.6 > 40 Question Did they get back with their ex?

Hello all!

I’ve been asking the iching if person I’m currently seeing casually is back with their ex and this is the response I got.

Some background is that she has gone cold all of a sudden. I don’t want to ask her either. It’s been 3 days since she has responded to my texts and it looks like she has deleted her dating app.

when we are together you can tell and she says this, that she doesn’t think she is good enough to be with me. I was planning on telling her how I feel about her the next time we saw each other - which hasn’t happened yet.

I see the iching saying either:

1. absolutely this is the case
2. This is the case and they are feeling worrisome to tell me

any help would be appreciated!!

I don’t think these hexagrams indicate one way or the other anything about the ex but they do seem to suggest it doesn’t matter.

4.4 shows a person so ignorant to the point of insanity, and 4.6 shows that someone is guarding against harm cause by that ignorant person. 40 shows relief. I doubt they're back with the ex. At most, they had sex (40), but properly back together no.

When someone tells you they're not good enough ... you'd better believe them.

This was the most accurate. She did indeed get back with her ex, and they have been together ever since!

Just to update this: they have since broken up. In part because we slept together while they were still together.
