I would love to hear your comments on nr. 40.6 /64. Last seven years have been a struggle with money and security for me. Everytime i tried to do something good for our bussiness, in the end it turned into something unexpected to happen that let me feel once again feared about my securuty (having enough money to our company to survive). So al these years i knew i had to feel those feelings just to learn from them. Last few months, how difficult life may look like now financially i no longer feel frightened. Near about a year ago i started up something new to make our life financially brighter, and i know i'm ready to let this work any day, any time sooner then soon. I feel very prosperous and look forward with joy for the time to come, no matter what.

So yesterday i draw 40.6/64 and i feel very happy with it. To me it seems my plan is about to happen/take form.
What i would love to know is how you interprete the falcon that has to be shot. Its clear that is will be shot. But is it the killing of the falcon or is it beiing one single pointedness like Arjuna for instance that i have to let it happen. Is there still work to be done (64 says to me ..give it all till you finally have reached the other shore). Remember that the falcon is also be seen in the Tarot, as Pentacles 9, often refering to material prosperity.

So i would love to hear your comments on this!

Thx

I thought the falcon was either an obstacle you get rid of or prey you wish to catch...er but do people catch falcons for food i don't think so so I'm not really sure about this falcon to be honest...though i am sure it doesn't speak...unless you hear its voice from beyond the grave ;)

okay i just went to see what Hilary had to say about it in her book and she says shooting the falcon is like getting rid of something ominous hanging over you...good news eh a time of release from apprehension

trojan- yeah, I think the falcon is the symbol that is reaching out to ramayogi. Since it is in the 9 of Pentacles is in Tarot and in the hexagrams reading, that might just be the angle to look at the answer.

ramayogi- Falcons are raptors.Birds of prey that feed/hunt on in the air. Off of their feet.

**From http://symbolism.wikia.com/wiki/Falcon
The falcon is a symbol of liberty, freedom, and victory. Therefore, it also symbolizes hope to all those who are in bondage whether moral, emotional, or spiritual.

In Christianity, wild falcons represents the unconverted Gentile, as well as sinful thoughts and deeds. The tamed bird symbolizes the Christian convert with his lofty thoughts, hopes, and aspirations.

In early Egyptian hieroglyphs the falcon represented the word for “god”. It was associated with sky deities, who may have had falcons’ heads. In early dynasties, the king’s ascension was known as the “Flight of the Falcon”. A human-headed falcon was a symbol of the human soul. The falcon helped cure the soul and escorted the soul back to the world of souls.

The sport of hunting with falcons was associated with nobility in Europe, Japan, and China, where falcons symbolized keen vision, boldness, and swiftness.

**From http://www.whats-your-sign.com/falcon-animal-totem.html

The Falcon animal totem comes to us when we require higher vision, or higher knowledge in solving current dilemmas in our lives.

Throughout history, culture and myth, Falcons symbolize:

Superiority
Spirit
Light
Power
Focus
Prophecy
Freedom
Aspiration
Intensity
Determination

The Falcon is a solar emblem for success, victory and rising above a situation.

Further evidence of its solar influence, the Falcon was symbolic of the rising sun in Egypt. It is also the king of all birds where many gods were shown with the head or body of the Falcon (including Ra).

In European tradition, the Falcon represents the huntsman and is associated with the Germanic sky-gods Wodan as well as Frigg and the trickster Loki. In European culture the Falcon is considered a warlike symbol.

At its core, the Falcon animal totem represents visionary power, wisdom, and guardianship. This powerful bird awakens visionary power, and leads you to your life purpose. The Falcon carries with it a message of transition and change - perhaps in your vocation, work, career, etc.

The Peregrine Falcon lives up to its Latin name: Falco Peregrinus which means foreigner or stranger because it is a migratory bird rather than sedentary - it is found throughout the world and tends to travel great distances.

The Peregrine is most often used in falconry due to its keen intellect and incredible ability to calculate or judge its prey.

Falcon animal totem s encourage us to calculate and strategize. If we have a goal, Falcons beckon us to make plans and strategies to obtain these goals. Falcons are all about focus - strong, one-pointed focus. When they show themselves to us, we are being called to focus on our desires and our goals, and do what is necessary to bring our desires into our reality.

The fact that the Falcon is a solar creature could mean there is something in your life that you are highly passionate about, and the Falcon is asking you to take action on this passion. But be smart about it - don't jump into something without doing research and planning. Make your passion a reality by persuing it methodically and as stratigically as the Falcon would persue his hunt.

 lotta info!
Peace,

Hi

Hex 40 is about release

40.6 the hawk is something hovering over you that you need to aim for and shoot. Thus you need to prepare carefully, focus and fire at exactly the right time. You get one shot at this so you need a very centred sense of timing. The arrow or what ever is released to the target and if you score a shot it is a bulls eye and you reap the reward.

The fanyao 64.6 is echoed in the 64 as context = neither plan a future upon an initial success because you are not yet across, nor let fanatsies of the future interfere with your aiming for the hawk.

And it is not clear that it will get shot is is only clear that you are aiming for something. You need the centred action of the archer to release the bow string at the right time to actually hit the hawk.

Anything else and your arrow will fall off target and tumble to the ground. The key issues are centred action with a clear aim, timing, and the fact that you only get one shot at it.
