Hi everybody! I am new here and this is my first post though I often read your posts and follow this forum. I am Italian, so please don't mind about my english. I'd like really much if you can help me with a recent cast that's making me go crazy. Me and my ex broke up long time ago (few years now). I don't want to bore you with all the story, the details and recent follow-ups. I'll just say you that he doesn't care of me any more, and we will never get back together for 99,999...% Anyway he hurt me very much, this story hurt me very much. Though I am quite sure I don't love him any more, I still have a deep feeling for him, and for my memories with him, which I can't forget. He has deleted and forgot all instead, as I saw last time we were in touch, recently. As I said, I won't bore you telling the story and the recent details. I just want to hear from you, if you want to help me with a cast. I am such a stupid, I know, but I ask Is it all over with him? the answer 44.5> 50I am only curious about the meaning in relation to my question. I received this answer 3 times. Once when asking how to best act towards him, and another when asking nothing, just thinking about the situation. I am sure we will never get back, cause all my casts asking for the evolution and asking if we could rebuild our relationship were bad, and very often with 6th line changing (exit, end). The last two for example were 35.5.6> 45 (if we can rebuild) and 52.2.6> 14 (evolution)Hope you can help me to undestand that 44.5 as an answer to my question, is it all over? I just want to learn, nothing more. Thank you all

44<50 is suggesting that there is something (hex 50, the cauldron) and you will hit by surprise by it. (44.5 The fruit that has to ripen and then falls from the tree one day / see Wilhelms translation)
But the thing is that your result could refer also to another realm in your life.
For example I asked one time a similar question like you and received 44<50. But eventually it had nothing to do with my relationship question but instead with the fact that I received surprisingly an amount of well needed money -- additionally to my relationship problems I had money problems these days

So, long story cut short:
Yes, there could come something from his direction, the line is indicating this, but you have to think if the line is really about this story. I am just saying this, because you heavily doubt a positive outcome and the line is very auspicious. (edit: But maybe that's part of the surprise nature of your 44.5 result.There could come something positive despite your negative expectations)

Ah, and to answer your question how to act: You don't need to act, you even shouldn't, just let the fruit ripen and wait til it falls down as a result of natural development.

I should tell a lot of things and events occurred from the end of the story to recent time, but it's too much and I am even tired to tell all this stuff. I am glad you received some well needed money It seems an auspicious line yes, I am not acting at all..I hope it will work for me too in some ways.

Thank you The point of my little excursus to the financial blessing I experienced was, that I wanted to tell you that after my own experience the I-Ching results do materialise -- at least in my case always, if I don't ask senselessly often. That's a good hint. While Wilhelm and other authors concentrate on the aspect of 44.5 'that something will fall from heaven', which is still hidden to us -- LiSe emphasizes:

"Carry and treat the future heir with respect - Heaven made it. Every creative action or thought should be handled this way. They may look easy but creativity grows only when everything is right: the seed, the soil, the season. It needs the completeness of nature. It can not be summoned when it is absent."

It can't be remembered often enough how important it is to care for oneself to make auspicious developments possible. You don't need even to know what kind of fruit it is, that will fall from heaven, preparing a fertile area is always crucial.

I think I have to focus on myself first, take care of myself, my own well-being and improve my everyday life. we did not come back together. Nowadays I think that the fifth line of 44 indicates something that is still concealed in our eyes, which we still cannot / do not want to fully understand but then fall from the sky and suddenly we will be able to see reality in full. This also involves the slow maturing process indicated in 50. So far this is the meaning I have been able to give and I think it is the most relevant to the situation, I noticed in fact that I receive this line for example when I reflect on a situation without asking any questions. something needs to mature inside us but in the end we will be able to see it.

Hi Steve, I think here the main problem in the interpretation is the way I posed the question, "is it all over?". I do think that the response of the oracle is positive too, but in the context of my question, I think it's a positive answer to my question. Yesterday I posed the same question, is it all over?, and the answer was 42.2> 61. All auspicious responses, but the answers aren't so auspicious when I ask directly "will we get back together?" (20.2.4> 6 it's one of the responses to this question), the y are quite or totally negative instead. Yesterday I also asked " Is it for me a change for the better not getting back with X?" ---> 42.5> 27 another auspicious reading. Therefore I think yes, it is an auspicious situation for me and things will turn better if I continue straight on my road and don't look back. It's still a bit sad to me, but I really hope things will gradually improve more and more. I am starting to feel free and better..

I don't want to spread false hope or motivate you to falling into abeyance, just generally said you can never rule out the possibility that your result will unfold later, much later, even years later. At the same time I agree with you and Steve, there are so many possible meanings to one single line. Of course it can refer to an auspicious development that is connected with your matter but in a way you can't/ don't think of right now.
And I also agree here, moving on is the thing to do now.
