Hello dear YI divers...

I'm an studying a lot these days to understand better the Yi. I have been getting great insights about myself lately. I do have some questions when I am asking about someone else... How do you approach a reading when you would like to understand the other's person views, attitudes, etc. ? I think I need to understand how to read the Yi when the answer is based in a question about someone that is not yourself and that is not present either?

For example, I made this question "what he feels for me?" and got 44.5.6 to 32. This is a real question about a guy but we are not friends so far -he's a sort of trainer for em .

If the reading was about myself, I can relate easily with the answer that the Yi gives me... so, how should I look at it when I want to understand someone else's attitude, or feelings, without putting my own hopes/fears/as a filter of what the Yi is responding?

Thank you in advance...!

Thank you so much for your response. Those are very good points... Yes, probably it does not help at all except my ego... I've consulted the Yi out of desperation in some occassions and the answers I've got where pointing me what you say. In other occasions, when I am calm -or at at least not desperate, its answers clarified something that I was not able to see right away, but the Yi somehow opened my understanding...

Perhaps the question I made is unadequate for personal grow... I actually agree with you 100 %. As you say, knowing yourself is the key. Trying to find answers outside ourselves is what we are trying to move away from, right? Isn't it that we project outside what we have inside though? Can the Yi help us in understanding the forces... Yin/Yang within us.... by looking around -at least when we cannot see it right away from within?

When asking "what he feels about me" -at least in this case- I am trying to understand what I see from his behaviour that I cannot fully comprehend based on the interactions we have. I feel that the Yi could bring to light things that I already know, but are still hidden from my conscious mind...

In any case, I am curious about the interpretation at the beginning of your response, you say that it's very easy to see -but I don't see it that easily... How did you get to it? I am really working on learning how to read the Yi so it would help me to understand more hexagrams, lines and their relationships.

Thank you, again. I appreciate this exchange, I can see how you are working with the line. Also, I continuing agreeing with your say. You also mention that you used to ask about others before... didn't that help you to get to your current insight about this type of questioning? I just wonder this because somehow I feel that this practice helps to refine my intuition... Kind of flashlight... I often find external resources -sacred books, some people and even nature- insightful.
