44- Help please?

So last night I had unprotected sex with someone i've just recently started seeing, and i'm having conflicting feelings about him and can't decide what kind of relationship if any I want from him, but I definitely care about him.
So today I thought i'd ask "what is my current situation like?" just to see what I got, and I got 44 with changing lines 2,4, and 5 transformed to 52. I'm not the best at interpreting hexagrams, but this has gotten me kind of worried. 44 talks alot about compulsion and dominant women and fertility and fetuses.. Can somebody help me figure out what to take from this?

The question was, "What is my CURRENT situation like?" so I am not reading the hexagrams as an analysis of the future potential of the relationship. Rather I look at them as a snapshot of today. Thus what jumps out at me in this reading is it's startling confirmation of your concerns about unprotected sex:

Nothing wrong with sex, but you don't want intercourse to lead to pregnancy.

This leads to misfortune.

Abstinence isn't the answer. {Perhaps saying that this relationship wouldn't last if you were to be "just friends"?}

Thus it reads to me that your current situation is that you have not discussed the sexual side of the relationship and you better because whether or not you are emotionally connected enough to form a lasting partnership, it seems the IC is warning you two are physically compatible enough for you to become pregnant.

This reading in my eyes doesn't reveal anything you didn't already know, although I think it's very interesting how without much stretch of the imagination it mirrors back what you told us about your situation.

It can be difficult interpreting hex 44, but one thing is sure: the relationship between you both is intense, when you're together. There is potential in that for great good, but only if the intensity does not get out of hand. And it's always difficult interpreting the answer when you ask what the other person is intending to do. This is the same reading as originally posted. I misread the date as an event in 2012 June, but in fact the original casting and reading date is 2010.

The conclusion is still correct because I move the date of reading to now to check a conclusion to that relationship.

I will not read too much into Lillian Too's text analysis. It is just for reference. That textbook is not real "plum blossom oracle" because the "plum blossom oracle" analyze events by studying the interactions between trigrams and not six lines. It is good for certain type of analysis for hexagram with only one change line.

Hexagram 44 refers to a female who attracts man for her charm and beauty, but most men would not come forward to do anything about it. The female will never know, and the female is not easy to get along with (sometimes a complainer). Type of good to watch at a distance, cannot become a friend because she can bring trouble to the man's professional life if it is in a work environment.

I will not redo the analysis because the reading is too old. However, that relationship does not work.

Sorry if we've let you down with our misinterpretations of your hexagram 44 reading. You seem like an action-oriented person, someone who wants the answer very quickly. But the practice of the I Ching is really a ruminative, self-help sort of thing. Some of these responses are like Zen koans in that they are real puzzlers to figure out. And given that we are not you and require background explanations just to get off the ground -- well, it all adds up to hard work and time. Sorry you were so disappointed.

Please understand that no one assumes anything bad about you. You should not have that perception.
If you were a female, you did the Iching reading. Six line method uses the day to reflect your house of spouse, month to represent you house of marriage, hour to represent your soul. The man will not be part of the date of reading because he did not cast the reading, you did.

The only information about the reading is the guest line = him. This method does not change even you ask what happens to him, unless he is the one who cast the reading.

In Iching, yin line is female and yang line is male. Hexagram 44 is a reading about a female. If a man cast a reading about his female co-worker coming to see him, Iching warns the man to be careful and not fall into a situation that he can be used by the female.

If it is a marriage reading by a man, Iching cautions that the female may not be as desirable to him in the long term. This text are in most text books. I do not make this up.

You cast a reading and cannot try to find out the analysis in the same manner as a man who cast the same reading. Again, this type of situation is documented in most advanced Iching older literature. If you really wants to know what he thinks, learn Tarot cards and correlate it back to Iching.

In conclusion, "perception" is dangerous of what other readers in the community thinks of you. It will create a "halo" effect of unhappiness as based on a different assumption.

My advice is if you do not want to share personal information, just do not share it. When you share, do not assume others are taking advantage of it. We are all here to learn and discuss Iching theory and put it into practice.
