Hi everyone!

It seems my life is just filled with problems
happy.gif

I have a meeting tomorrow about my scholarship they want me to return because I didn't finish my studies in time. They want me to return all the money they gave me in four years - it is A LOT!
I gave them some reasons why I couldn't finish in time but I don't know if it will be good enough.
Tomorrow I am meeting them to settle this out of court.
My finanical situation is such that there is no way for me to pay this off.

So, I asked Yi Jing: How will this situation with the returning of the scholarship evolve? How should I act?

I got: 46.3.5. turning into 29
46 with changing lines is saying that I should take an effort to get what I want (and that is the forgivness of my debt) and that it is not there yet. And then 29...what does this mean? That I will be almost there, but I will not reach my goal?
Maybe I should not try to push it? Or maybe I need to have a very clear stance?

Can anyone give an input, please? I would be very grateful.

Dear Moonrise,
Although it would appear the IChing benefits us by giving us an answer to our question and thereby quieting our fears and allowing us to experience Peace of Mind... the reality is just the opposite. It is not the ANSWER that quiets our mind and gives us peace, it is the process of forming a QUESTION, tossing the coins and finding the calm detachment to interpret the answer that creates the mental state of repose. By carefully considering your question and attempting to interprete your answer, you'll find that you've shifted gears, you've turned down the mental static, and for one brief magic moment your mind has been impartial and clear. Experiencing this nuetral state of clarity, will give you a touchstone, a state of peace and calm to seek if you find yourself once again becoming off balanced and confused. The more you seek out this "blank zone" the more you'll find answers, guidence, clarity just start to appear in your life.
Anyway, bottom line, I'm feeling it would be good if you would write out a little bit about what you get from 29, not just because I want to have more of a sence of where you are with this, but also because I feel that you will get more from interpreting the line yourself, even if you don't get much, than you will get from an outsider.
It just feels like you would like to learn the I Ching so the Universe has said, "Well to learn the iching, we'll send you problems. Consulting the I Ching will give you clues as to how to solve them." so then you get this problem but instead of using it to understand the IChing you post it saying, "OMG, emergency, what does this mean?" so then you get an interpretation from someone here, things clear up a bit but then wham the Universe gives you another problem! So I'm thinking if you post your efforts to solve the hexgram first before we tell you our interpretation, maybe life wont be so quick to give you another puzzle, or at least it will give you one more in your comfort zone!

Hi Rosada!

Thank you for your answer.
Basically you are saying that Yi Jing is a meditation tool.
I don't use it like this...meditation for me requiers different techniques.

I am not good at Yi Jing, that is definitely true. I cannot really understand its language, probably because I do not use it so much. I use it only in tough situations where I need an impartial look on whatever I am experiencing.
Sometimes it is pretty clear, but sometimes I cannot see how it relates to my question or I see to much of a negative or positive in some answers. That's why I ask people here, because I know many of you have more experience.
But maybe this is not the place to do that...it is a forum to share what you know and I cannot really do that. So, maybe I should not be posting here.

But I do not agree at all that anyone is sending me problems in order for me to learn Yi Jing. I don't think there is "anyone" in the first place, it is only life with its flux, minding its own business, and we as conscious beings can understand it. And there are some tools which can help us see things more clearly, and Yi Jing is one of them. Nothing but a tool. A mirror.
And certainly I don't think that problems come for me to learn Yi Jing or whatever. Problems may reflect some state of consciousness of mine, push me in some direction, that can be.
But basically problems are just problems, and we need to cope with them with awarness and take the opportunity to grow. And then use any tools which help us relfect what is happening, and Yi Jing is one of them. But that's it.

I don't speak its language so well, but I trust its wisdom. Since I am having difficulties now, I asked for advice.

Maybe it is true that I should go deeper into these hexagrams, and then I would understand. Maybe I should open the door of my intuition to Yi Jing, but for now it is not happening.
Well, it doesn't matter so much anyway, whatever happens, happens.

Thanks again

Dear Moonrise,

"maybe I should not be posting here" - no, you're in the right place

How did the meeting go? I hope that it went well.

I wonder whether the Yi is advising you that if this meeting does go well not to just leave it at that, if you know what I mean, but to see it as a 'step' to what you would like to achieve. I think that it is councelling thoroughness. I also wonder whether it's asking you to ask yourself what you really want and that once you have it set in your mind what it is that you really want then things will get easier as the judgement of 29 says: 'If you are sincere, you have success in your heart, and whatever you do succeeds'

I hope that everything does work out well for you.

Love

Hi Moonrise:

It sounds like you are going through alot.

I'm not sure you really took in all that Rosada said. She is very wise - and it might benefit you from reading her response again.

The answer is in the question!

Good luck!

Dear Moonrise,
I owe you an apology. I don't know how I missed it, but when I reread your original letter I realized I hadn't taken in your 2nd to the last paragraph where you did indeed give us a look into your own interpretations of the hexagrams. If you reread your original posting without that paragraph I think you can understand why i was saying "give it some more thought." Anyway, I'm very sorry about that. I know how seriously we take these messages.
When I say The Universe gives us problems to help us learn the I Ching, I don't mean there is some meany out there intentionally throwing monkey wrenches into our lives. I use the word "problem" as in an exercise, like a math problem. A puzzel that it's perfectly suited to our level of understanding and that we have the tools to solve. Thus when we ask the I Ching a question, we always get an answer that is within our abilities to comprehend. We may have to do a bit of reading, or go for a jog around the block, but we have the ability to "get it" within ourselves, and the discovery of this inner knowingness is - in my opinion - the real reason to study the IChing. This is why I was making such a point of urging you to look for the answer a bit more yourself - and now I realize you had made a stab at it but were feeling uncertain if your interpretation was "right". The curious thing is, when you are just starting out with the IChing, we will often get clear understanding - answers - that don't necessarily fit with the generally agreed upon meaning of the lines. That is, a beginner can consult the oracle and get a very clear answer to their question, even though a more experienced student might say, "Hunh? How did you get that from that hexagram?" So, I encourage you to have confidence in your interpretations - no matter how vague you may feel is your understanding - and to continue posting here!
How did the meeting go? Did you follow your own wisdom and "have a very clear stance"? I certainly feel that idea is in keeping with "Having success in your heart"!

"So, I asked Yi Jing: How will this situation with the returning of the scholarship evolve? How should I act?

My concern is that you asked two completely different questions. Which question did the Yi answer?

If the Yi answered the second question I think it's telling you to go ahead, boldly move forward with this. The 29 may be saying that this will not be without some risk.

Hi everyone!

I am sorry I didn't reply sooner.
Thank you very much for your answers, I feel a lot of support from you.

First I must tell you that they FORGAVE MY DEBT COMPLETELY!

Now I do understand the answer of Yi Jing - in the lines there was indicated success, actually a very easy success. And that is what happened - they told me: we have a gift for you. And they gave me a paper saying that I do not need to return anything! I cannot tell you how relieved I was, after I left the office I needed some time to cool down!
happy.gif
I almost started to cry.

The lines were very promising, but I was confused by 29 and since I was scared, that "danger" did frighten me a lot! But now I feel Yi Jing was sending me a message that whatever happens in my life, I just need to maintain my own truth. Because my fear with all these difficult situations is mainly that I will not be able to live my truth, do things I want and need to do, also as my work. That I will not be able to create a life I want to have. If there are so many difficulties, issues, debts...how can express myself and live a life I want to live?

So, now I feel Yi Jing was saying: whatever happens, keep your nature and live your truth. Sometimes there are dark valleys but your nature is intact. Know your truth and follow it always, no matter how difficult things look like.

This is my main lesson now and I feel I can do it. Take this risk and make it happen inspite of difficulties.

Rosada, don't worry, you don't owe any apology to me. I posted this question in anguish and haste and I just wanted to know what will happen. I was not ready to listen to the message, I just wanted to know if they will sue me for almost 5000 euros.
And as I said, I am not so good at Yi Jing and I don't know how to take its answers - literally or trying to see some different message. When I saw danger, I just panicked. Now I see from my own experience that Yi Jing gives an answer but also a deeper insight, as now, for me, to follow my truth.

A very beautiful answer and exactly what I need to hear, to encourage me. I do intend to follow my heart at all cost.

Thank you all for your support and understanding!
And maybe slowly I will learn how to listen to Yi Jing too
